ABOUT THE CANDIDATE : -

Desired Profile :
* Experience in Structural Steel Fabrication Shop for a minimum 10 years at an Operating Head level, is the basic requirement.
* Fabrication or engineering skills background and conversant in welding & fabrication of structural steel with modern CNC machines like Saws, CNC Drilling, Plate Processing, etc.
* Multi-unit manufacturing exposure is an advantage.

Age : About 40 to 50 years.

Qualifications : * Engineering degree from an institute of repute, preferably in Mechanical/ Metallurgy.
* A formal education in Management is desirable.

Location of Residence : Pune.

Position Specifications for Production Head – Steel Structures :
– at Jejuri (near Pune)

Responsibilities of the Incumbent :
1] Shall hold complete responsibility for the fabrication and welding unit at Jejuri (near Pune) in terms of Production Planning, Machine Efficiency and Utilization, Conversion Cost, Productivity, etc.
2] Shall need to enhance throughput of the plant to achieve over 100% of its rated capacity by implementation of innovative changes.
3] Would be responsible for downstream supply chain and achieving deliveries in terms of time, cost and quality.
4] Management of a large workforce of a 300+ and Management staff in excess of 20.
5] Implementation of Continuous Improvement Programs by leveraging tools such as Kaizen, 6 Sigma, TPM/ TQM and the like.
6] Promote a transparent and work-focused culture.
7] Implement world-class safety systems and processes.
8] Promote participation at all levels in the manufacturing site so as to improve professionalism, reduce attrition and achieve / maintain global efficiencies.
9] Participate in Annual Budgeting exercise and constantly monitor expenditure and costs.
10] Focus on Performance Management System which has been recently introduced.
11] Empower employees down the line to take charge and speed-up the work-flows and information-flows.

Reporting : The Plant Head – Steel Structures will be based at Jejuri (near Pune) and will report to the General Manager / Executive Director based at Mumbai.
