ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT OF FACULTY & NON-FACULTY POSTS ON CONTRACTUAL

The National Institute of Technology, Nagaland is one among the ten newly sanctioned NITs by the
 Government of India in 2009 under the 11th Five year Plan. It is being established near Dimapur, the
 commercial capital of Nagaland. It is managed by the NIT Nagaland Society registered under the Societies Act.
 Institute is fully funded by Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
 Government of Nagaland has been kind enough to provide the Land and the local support. This Institute shall
 be brought under the ambit of the NIT Act 2007 later by the Government of India. The academic session at NIT
 Silchar campus has been commencing with the first batch of students in JULY 2010. There shall be three
 branches namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and
 Electrical and Electronics Engineering to begin with. Curriculum shall be drawn in the lines of IITs and shall
 have the best practices. The admission in NIT Nagaland has been done based on entrance test which is AIEEE,
 conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. NIT Silchar shall be mentoring the Institute for two to
 three years.
The NIT, Nagaland desires to fill up the following Faculty and Non-faculty posts on
CONTRACTUAL BASIS (purely Temporary) through a Walk-in-Interview on 23 rd September, 2010
at 11-30 a.m. in NIT, Silchar Campus. Eligible candidates are to submit their complete bio-data
along with photo copies of all testimonials and to bring all original documents at the time of
interview.

Qualifications and experience for the posts mentioned below :

 in Mathematics
 First Class in M.Sc. with Ph.D and Specialization in any major area.
 2. Administrative
 Officer
 Masters degree in Business Administration, Arts, Science or Commerce
 with atleast 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates) or a
 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with good Academic record.
Desirable: Degree in Management or Law and ability to supervise
 computerized administration with innovative approach. Knowledge of
 financial management and accounting practices. 5 (five) years Technical
 management or Administrative experience in a major educational or R&D
 Institution, Public Sector Undertaking , Bank, Government or Industry is
 highly desirable.
 3. Technicians in
 Physics &Chemistry
 B Sc (H) in respective field with 55% marks.
 4. Junior Assistants Bachelors Degree with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm and
 proficiency in computer word processing.
