Applications in the prescribed form are invited to fill up 2 posts (GT : 1, SC : 1)
of Assistant Director of Physical Education (Regular Vacancies) in the scale of pay of
Rs.15,600-39,100 with a Grade pay of 6000 in the places of Agricultural College and
Research Institute, Coimbatore and Agricultural College & Research Institute, Madurai
functioning under the control of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University duly following the
Government norms in force.
The appointment of Assistant Director of Physical Education is governed under
TNAU Act Statutes and Regulations (ASR).
I. Qualifications :
1 Master's degree in Physical Education or a Master's degree in Arts or Science with the
Post-graduate Diploma in Physical Education.
2 Experience as Physical Director in a College or University or a Higher Secondary
school for a period of not less than three years.
3 Higher qualification [Ph.D.] including N.C.C., Training shall be preferred.
4 A pass in the NET / SLET examinations in Physical Education of UGC.
II. Application :
Application form and instructions to candidates can be downloaded from the
TNAU Website (www.tnau.ac.in). Completed applications should reach the Registrar,
TNAU, Coimbatore – 641 003 before 5.00 pm on 15.09.2010 (Wednesday). For postal
delays the University will not be responsible. The candidates should specify on the
envelope as "Application for the post of "Assistant Director of Physical Education". Filled
in applications in complete shape should be submitted before the due date. Spiral
binding, sending of loose sheets may be strictly avoided.
A Bank Demand Draft for Rs.500/- (for candidates other than SC / ST) drawn in
favour of "The Comptroller, TNAU, Coimbatore – 641 003" payable at Coimbatore should
be enclosed along with the application towards registration charges. The Demand Draft
should be dated not earlier than 28.08.2010.
The SC / ST candidates should send a Demand Draft for Rs.300/- drawn in
favour of "The Comptroller, TNAU, Coimbatore – 641 003" payable at Coimbatore
towards the registration charges. The Demand Draft should be dated not earlier than
