SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE TO FILL UP THE VACANCIES OF EXSERVICEMEN

QUOTA

I
. A special recruitment drive to fill up 418 vacancies of different posts in ITB Police under Exservicemen
quota is planned to be conducted as per following details:-

II.
Recruitment programme is as under:-

Note:
Cut off date to determine the age will be:
i) 01/08/2010 for the post of Constable/General Duty.

ii) 30/08/2010 for all other posts except Constable/General Duty.

Every ex-servicemen who has put in not less than six months continuous service in the
Armed Forces of the Union shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from his
actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the
post or service for which he seeks appointment by more than three years he shall be deemed
to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.
(b) Medical Standards: Should be medical category SHAPE-1 at the time of release from Army.
However, all the Ex-servicemen candidates will be required to undergo requisite medical examination and
should be found fit as per job requirement.
(c) Character: Should be Exemplary or very Good or Good character.
(d) Physical Standards.
(i) For the post of HC/CM, HC/MM, Constable(GD), Constable(AT), Constable
(Pioneer), Constable(RO), Constable(RT), Constable(LM), Constable(MM) and
CT (Driver):-

IV. PROCEDURE OF RECRUITMENT:
(a) Documentation:
All the candidates reporting at each venue will be provided application form
which will be filled up and signed by the candidate. Candidates may also
download the application form from website of ITB Police i.e.
www.itbpolice.nic.in, www.itbp.gov.in. Attested copies of testimonials including
discharge certificate etc. will be attached thereto.
Those candidates whose applications/testimonials are found in order shall be allowed
to appear in the written test.
(b) Physical Efficiency test: No Physical Efficiency test will be conducted for Exservicemen.
(c) Written test/Trade test/Interview:

(d) Detailed Medical Examination: Candidates who secure minimum percentage marks
in aggregate after interview will be medically examined on merit basis. Final medical
examination will be conducted by the Medical Officer as per the existing instructions
on the subject.

V. How to apply:
Ex-servicemen candidates are required to report at any of the
recruitment venues on the given dates against each. They will have to fill the application form
which will be supplied to them at the recruitment venue by their respective Recruitment
Board. No application fee will be charged.

Candidates are required to bring following documents with them:-

i) Discharge certificate from Army in original & one photo copy duly attested.
ii) In case serving personnel, they will produce certificate issued by their Record
Office showing complete details about their trade, Medical Standard etc. with their
date of discharge from Army.
iii) Educational qualification certificate in original & one photo copy duly attested.
iv) Technical qualification certificate in original & one photo copy duly attested.
v) Other certificate(s) if any.
vi) Minimum two passport size photographs.

VI. The candidates may please note that:

i) No TA/DA shall be admissible to the candidates appearing for the recruitment
test.
ii) Candidates are advised to be present at the venue at least one hour before start of
test.
iii) Candidates may have to stay for 4-5 days for the test; therefore, the candidates
are advised to come prepared accordingly.
iv) ITBPF will not be responsible for any injury/damage sustained during
recruitment process.
