Applications are invited from Indian Citizens to fill up the following vacancies
 of Industrial Establishment at Ordnance Factory, Badmal, District Bolangir, Orissa.
 Complete application along with required details and documents should reach the General
 Manager, Ordnance Factory, Badmal Pin -767770, District Bolangir, Orissa within 21 days
 from the date of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News and Rozgar
 Samachar.

Note: (i) The post reserved for PHP has been identified for Hearing Handicapped
 candidate- PD(partial deaf) and the Persons having disability of 40% will be eligible for the
 post of Fitter General (SS) under PHP(s) quota.
 (ii) The post reserved for Ex-Service man & PHP will be adjusted by horizontal
 reservation i.e. the selected candidate will be adjusted against the categories of
 General/SC/ST/OBC as the case may be to which they belong.
Educational Qualifications for various Posts :-
 (i) Essential - NCTVT Certificate in the relevant trade failing which by ITI or equivalent
 Diploma/Certificate holder.
AGE LIMIT : Between 18 years to 32 years on last date of receipt of application.
 Relaxation in upper age limit for the reserved post for SC/ST-5 years, OBC-3 years(on
 production of caste certificate with “Non-Creamy Layer clause”), Physically Handicapped
 Persons(PHP)-10 Years(SC/ST-15 years and OBC-13 years for PHP Candidates). Relaxation
 in case of Govt Servant, Ex-Serviceman candidates as per Govt rules and instruction.
MODE of SELECTION : Selection will be made on the basis of Trade Test (Written
 and Practical). Written examination will be of 70 marks and Practical test of 30 marks.
 Only those candidates who attain minimum qualifying standard i.e. 40% for unreserved
 and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PHP/Ex-serviceman (if post is reserved for them) category in the
 written examination will be eligible to be called for practical test. The candidates qualifying
 as above would be called for Practical test subject to the condition that the total number of
 candidates called for Practical test does not exceed five times for the vacancies.
APPLICATION FEE : Candidates except SC/ST/PHP and Ex-Serviceman must send
 application fee in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs.50/- or Demand draft in
 favour of General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Badmal for Rs.50/-(Rupees fifty only)
 payable at State Bank of India, Badmal. The postal order should bear the date of issue
 after the date of publication of the advertisement. The issuing date of postal order should
 be indicated properly. The examination fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
PREFERENCE: In the above posts preference will be given to Ex-Trade Apprentice
 of Ordnance Factories as they are conversant with jobs in Ordnance Factories and have
 been trained by Ordnance Factories incurring expenditure. If sufficient numbers of Ex-
 Trade Apprentice of Ordnance Factories are available, other candidates may not be
 considered.
CANDIDATES FROM GOVT DEPARTMENTS : Candidate already in service in Central
 Govt. department/state Govt. department/Semi Govt Department must submit his/her
 applications through proper channel along with the certificate from his/her Head of
 Office/Establishment that no vigilance or disciplinary case is pending nor contemplated
 against him/her. However, they must submit their applications through proper channel
 within the specified time limit only.
RIGHT TO RESTRICT THE NUMBER OF CANDIDATES : (i) If the number of
 applications received for the above posts are on large scale and where, it will not be
 convenient or possible for this Factory to call all eligible candidates for written Test, the
 General Manager may restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test to
 reasonable limit on the basis of desirable qualification/Higher qualification.
 (ii) It may also be noted that the number of above notified vacancies are subject to
 variation, if any, depending upon the orders of any Court/CAT in any pending case. The
 General Manager reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies in the
 trade/grade depending upon the actual requirement and also upon the situation prevailing
 at the time of actual recruitment/induction
RELAXATION OF STANDARD FOR RESERVED CATEGORY : Relaxation of standards
 in selection against reserved vacancies- if sufficient numbers of SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Serviceman
 persons are not available on the basis of general standard to fill all the vacancies reserved
 for them, candidates belonging to these categories may be selected under the relaxed
 standard of selection to make up the deficiency in the reserved quota.
SCRUTINY : Screening of applications on the basis of qualifying objective criteria may be
 done before calling for test/interview. Applicants may, therefore, note that mere fulfilling
 the minimum criteria/standard for a post will not entitle them for being called for
 test/interview
REJECTION OF APPLICATION : An application will be summarily rejected if (i)
 Applications received not as per prescribed format (ii) Applications not signed by the
 candidate will be rejected (iii) Applications with over writing/cutting will be rejected (iv)
 even if one document is not enclosed (v) those not conforming to the required
 specifications (VI) applications sent through fax (vii) applications received after the due
 date.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :
 a) The services of persons appointed are liable to be transferred to any Ordnance
 and Ordnance Equipment Factories in India.
 b) The selected candidate will be governed by “NEW DEFINED CONTRIBUTION
 PENSION SCHEME.”
 c) The candidates should fill up all the columns and submit application form in a
 plain A4 size paper duly typed or neatly hand written in Hindi/English, in block
 Capital letters as per the enclosed proforma affixing a recent(not more than 3
 months old) self attested- partially on the photograph and partially on
 application- passport size photograph on the application and enclosing two
 more copies of same photograph duly self-attested on front side along with his
 application.
 d) Separate applications should be submitted for separate posts and one envelope
 should contain one application only.
 e) Attested copies of relevant certificates showing age and educational
 qualification, NCTVT in the trade, ITI Certificate, Marks sheets, Caste certificate
 (wherever applicable), Physically Handicapped Certificate, proof regarding
 experience in the relevant field and other testimonials wherever required must
 be attached.
 f) For date of birth, only High School or equivalent certificate will be accepted.
 g) The Ordnance Factory, Badmal management will not be responsible for
 late/non-receipt of call letters for written examination/skill test due to delay in
 postal channel.
 h) Only selected candidate would be informed of their selection in due course after
 the selection process and no correspondence on the subject would be
 entertained.
 i) SC/ST candidates called for Test/interview will be paid travelling allowance only
 once by shortest route as per existing central Govt Rules, if he/she has
 furnished an attested copy of Caste Certificate along with ticket.
 j) All the information furnished in the application must be supported by relevant
 documents duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
 k) Envelope must be super scribed as APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF
 ___________________. Applications may be rejected if not superscripted as
 above.
 l) The applicant should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria, regarding
 educational qualification, age and caste. Particulars furnished in the application
 forms should be correct in all respect. If any false/incorrect information
 furnished by the Applicant is detected at any stage, his candidature will be
 cancelled without prejudice to taking legal action against him.
