Job Description:

* Ownership and key-driver of all architectural and design decisions within a project
* Helps team leads and project leads identify suitable solutions to complex technical problems
* Assist team in writing detailed technical specifications
* Reviews team’s work including specification, design, implementation, and test plans for single/multiple projects
* Communicates and collaborates effectively with all stakeholders (customers, managers, leads) to accomplish agreed goals
* Assists team in organizing and executing that work by breaking technical solutions down into suitable parts to distribution to other team members
* Drives best practices and process improvements across projects

Candidate Profile

* Very good Object Oriented Analysis and Design skills. Strong UML concepts.
* Should be able to think about abstractions, must have ability to understand the big picture and break it down into smaller parts
* Strong knowledge and experience using various design patterns
* Ability to mould non-functional aspects (security, performance, usability) into the design
* Very good understanding of Java, Servlets, JSP, HTML, XML, JavaScript. Hands-on experience is must
* Should have experience with at least one open source framework like Struts, Spring or Hibernate
* Must be well versed with one or more Application Servers, IDEs, Build, Design and Development Tools
* Strong Database concepts. Good knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases including MS SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL
* Familiarity with Unix/Linux OS and related scripting is a plus
* Familiarity with Web 2.0 concepts and technologies like AJAX, RIA, SOA/Webservices is a plus
* Excellent leadership skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* 8 -10 years of expereince
