Job Description:

1. Check the typeset output if it is in line with the book production information supplied by customer, including special instructions for the book.

2. Electronically compare with original document/manuscript with the typeset file to identify and mark-up missing or changed content.

3. Proof read and mark corrections in zero error zone items like front matter of books and journals and chapter opening pages.

4. Read and understand style and specification document and ensure that the final product adheres to the requirement. Identify and mark-up style and specification inconsistencies.

5. Check information for the references for format, missing information and uncited references.

6. Cross check author marked up documents against the typeset file to ensure corrections are carried out and consistency has been maintained.

7. Check if queries raised to author are valid and up to date.

8. Check print and online PDF files visually and by reviewing Pitstop reports. Verify hyperlinks in the online PDF files.
