Job Description :
Role and Responsibilities :

* Understand reporting requirements of the business.
* Have sound knowledge in data warehousing concepts.
* Deep understanding of Business Intelligence architectures, tools, and principles with extensive experience of supporting high profile Data warehouse and BI systems
* Assist in developing a BI architecture and components for all BI, reporting and dashboard technologies.
Work closely with architects, internal teams and business analysts to understand system and business requirements.
Represent the Business perspective of data analysis and design discussions.
* Contribute to the project planning process by estimating BI and reporting tasks and deliverables.
* Leads effort to maintain project documents according to organization standards and apply generally accepted best practices toward the maintenance.
* Guide/mentoring co-workers in the design and development of data marts and various reports
* Explain and walk thru the reports to end users/clients if they have any questions.
* Continuously evolving reports for better presentation and more meaningful data which is useful for decision making.
Familiar with a variety reporting techniques, best practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Identify and report risks throughout the life of project and provide mitigation strategy for those risks
* Work closely with executives and work on their reporting requirements and exhibits high level of professionalism.

Technical Requirements and Responsibilities :

* Experience of dealing with multiple source systems (relational and flat files).
* Strong experience in Universe creation and usage of hierarchies.
* Strong knowledge of Business Objects tools and use of their capability at the fullest in report development.
* Setting up User groups and managing their profiles with proper privileges.
* Publishing reports to portals.
* Reports performance tuning and troubleshooting
* Have strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL skills
* Have knowledge of Shell script/Perl script

Exhibit strong data analysis skills to include :
-Identify, review, and evaluate existing data structures.
-Identify and document data quality issues and data patterns.
Refine business requirements and generate design documents, report validation documents, and scheduling documents, etc
* Create migration check list and adhere follow those steps during code migration.
Work independently or as part of a team with internal and/or external customers to support various reports in production.
* Handle production support and issues and provide immediate fixes for end users.
Develop and maintain reports and SQL scripts to retrieve data for analysis and reporting.
Creates and maintains documentation as needed to provide training and support of customers to ensure a sustainable technical environment and smooth delivery of service.

Qualifications and Education Requirements :

* 4+ years of related experience in Business Intelligence, completing multiple full lifecycle BI projects
Hands on experience with Business Objects XI is must.
* Hands on experience in PL/SQL, Shell Scripting (UNIX) /Perl script
* Highly experienced in Dashboards creation.
* Should be able to produce adhoc reports using SQL scripts for immediate requirements.
* Excellent communication, problem solving skills are essential.
* Good team player who can work with both internal employees/management and client resources.
* Excellent work ethic, dependable and responsible.
* Must be a flexible self-starter who can ramp up with new technologies quickly and can adapt to a growing and evolving team.
* Must be able to succeed with minimal resources and minimal supervision.
