GEPS is in the early stages of two initiatives (ERP implementation and GEPS25) that are key to enhancing the future relationships it has with it’s customers. Due to the various disparate legacy systems located throughout the business, attribute data surrounding the customer has been identified as lacking in quality and consistency. One of the key reasons the customer attribute data is disparate is due to variation in the processes used to create a customer within the legacy systems. As we deploy ERP across the business, there is a need to clean up existing customer attribute data and have a single consistent way to create customers in the future.
There have been 63 legacy systems, located around the globe, identified to contain customer attribute data. In several of the legacy systems, customer data is duplicated or is input without validation.This severely hampers the ability for GEPS to provide and maintain a 360 degree view of the customer (i.e. sales, opportunities, receivables, etc).
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Experience with ETL/ETI (Informatica) (Extraction Transform and Loading, Extraction Transform and Import) data from production database to data warehouse database.
- Developing Informatica mappings to implement business logic by using various transformations like source qualifier, expression, filter, lookup, update strategy transformations, router transformation etc.
