Sapience Knowledge Systems, Inc. is currently looking for a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineering professional to work on our growing product portfolio for the Wireless/Telecom customer base. The ideal candidate has a proven track record working in a small business/start-up environment, is able to work independantly, understands wireless carrier tools and processes, possesses very strong technical skills in several development platforms, ranging from embedded to desktop to server applications. S/he is able to lead in a fast-paced, start-up, and distributed team environment and drive projects to deliverable states in collaboration with engineering, marketing and support teams.

Responsibilities:
[LIST][*]Work with Product Managers and Product Architects to design, implement and expand our software products in a timely manner with little supervision and at a high quality.[*]Practice rigor in prioritization and tradeoffs between requirements for maximum impact.[*]Team with Product Management to deliver high quality products on time.[*]Work collaboratively with Product Managers in support of deliverables on related product roadmaps.[*]Work directly with external customers, sales, and strategic services groups to deliver features and upgrades in a timely manner.[*]Build software components on various platforms to integrate and work seamlessly.[*]Develop and maintain product releases and installation tools.[/LIST]
Qualifications:
[LIST][*]10+ years of product development experience in wireless software with solid track record of developing and launching successful products on a variety of development platforms.[*]7+ years of experience working directly with or for wireless carriers in a technical role. Experience with wireless carrier products is a must.[*]Strong technical background.[*]Highly analytical, data-driven.[*]5+ years of experience developing web based software solutions using JavaScript, PHP, Perl, Python, or other web tools.[*]5+ years of experience working with Linux and Linux based systems.[*]3+ years of experience developing database driven applications, MySQL experience preferred.[*]2+ years of experience developing heavily JavaScript driven websites.[*]HTML 5.0 Website Implementation experience.[*]Excellent verbal and written communication skills.[*]Understands how to create software visualizations of complex data.[*]Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.[*]Proven ability to work in a start-up environment.[*]B.S. or B.A. required, ideally in Computer Science other technical field, M.S[*]Proven ability to work independantly with remote teams.[/LIST]
