Present I am working with Reliance Industries Ltd, Jamnagar in Solid Logistics (Export & Import.) from 03.05.2007 to till date.
Most of material comes to solid logistics, imported by RIL (By Sea route). This involves various activities right from per intimation of arrival of ship, boarding of ship, arranging for stevedores, Deployment of adequate barges, ensuring proper discharging from ship, unloading of cargo at jetty, presenting the cargo for examination for getting custom clearance, dispatching the cargo to site, maintaining records of cargo (Packing list, Bill of Entry, Daily dispatch, etc), reporting for damage, loss, short landing of cargo to concerned authorities.
Detail Activities,
Planning of no. Of barges to be send to ship is done on basis of CBM and tonnage to ensure that at no time ship’s hook is allowed to remain idle
At Sikka, variety of cargo arrived in different ships instance, pipes, plates, wooden boxes, creates, ODC (Over Dimensioned Cargo) and Super ODC. Unloading of each type of cargo involved various techniques and equipments. As the barges are loaded from ship, they are towed back by tugs to our jetties.
The cargo is unloaded at jetty on conventional Axles/ SPMT and they are sending to pre-notified custom area inside the jetty area for custom clearance and intimation of cargo landing is given to our internal Custom Section.
Once the customs give out of charge the cargo is ready for dispatching to our different yards inside the site.
For ODC/SODC
I have to do pre preparation prior to arrival of vessel. Unloading scheme of vessel for equipments /Cargo to barges. Unloading scheme at our jetty either by lift off or roll off.
Deployment of barges for Vessel.
Space for temporary storage.
I am total incharge of project cargos (Import) coming via Sea (including General Cargo & ODC Consignments). I have successfully completed JERP project handled critical equipments like
1- C3 Splitter {97m (L) x 14.25m (W) x 15m (H)}-Weight 1591 mt
2-FCC Regenerator, {41.20m (L) x 18 m (W) x 17.70 m (H)}-Weight 1438mt
3-FCC Reactor, {46.50m (L) x 10.70m (W) x 11.80m (H)}-Weight 1291mt
Such 94 nos of SODC & other medium size of ODC, in various size & weight, I handled (1) right from loading of SODC/ODC in to barge from mother vessel, and then roll off at our Jetty. (2) Some vessels we directly brought up to jetty, having draft less than 4.8 mtrs & Roll off at our jetty & taking it up to Erection point under the Equipment erection crane, by Suitable Hydraulic axles/SPMT.
After root survey & site readiness for ODC & SODC cargo, we are dispatching equipment to site after confirmation from user .I am well experience by inspecting site/road that weather cargo can go safely up to erection crane/point
I am familiar with earth moving equipments & Routine civil works.
I am well experienced with handling of ODC cargo from 20 mt to 2000 mt, length up to 100 mtrs, & height & width up to 20 mtrs.
I am well familiar with various types of cranes & Lifting tackles/slings, shackles & I loaded/unloaded lot many jobs with various types of cranes.
