JOB TITLE : Senior Development Manager (.NET)

LOCATION : Research & Development is based at Technology Park, Chandigarh.

POSITION SUMMARY :
Winshuttle’s engineering team is looking for talented, ambitious, self-directed technologists to architect, design, develop and test for our next generation products from conception to launch. You will be part of a global team of very software engineers creating the innovative products to solve data governance problems in medium and large enterprises. You will be expected to be a part of production of high quality, customer-focused software modules while continuously seeking to strike the right balance between extreme software development methodologies and the time and customer-driven pressures of a fast growing innovative company.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
To architect and manage all aspects of development of software applications in Microsoft .NET platform
Managing and mentoring multiple teams of highly capable engineers
To coordinate and communicate with global product management, program management, QA, technical support and sales teams at various stages of product development
Responsible for product upgrades, new releases, support escalations etc. as a part of post-production engineering
Learning and applying best development practices.
To be a part of overall hiring process for Winshuttle’s engineering team
Developing, nurturing, and maintaining relationships with other functional teams
Mentoring of junior staff members, developing and presenting group training sessions

REQUIRED SKILLS :
BE/BTech/MCA/Equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
7 to 8 years of demonstrated experience and successful track record in architecting, designing and developing enterprise web and desktop applications using Microsoft technologies
Strong programming background in C#, ASP.NET, VC++, COM/DCOM and other Microsoft technologies
Must have a firm understanding of the following concepts and technologies :
o .NET 1.1, 2.0 and 3.5
o C# programming
o Windows Presentation Foundation
o Windows Communication Foundation
o Web Services
o .NET Security Model
o COM, ActiveX and COM Interop
o Design Patterns
Experience of managing small to medium size teams of architects and/or developers
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Software Development Methodology
Experience of development practices like code reviews, code coverage, memory profiling etc.
Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design Patterns
Excellent management, planning, organizational, and problem solving skills
Entrepreneurial, self-motivated individual - high energy, high activity levels, and passion for working with an innovative, rapidly growing products company
Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English

DESIRED SKILLS :
Experience in Microsoft Office Application development including VSTO, OBA and Office COM Add-ins
Knowledge of SAP, Oracle Applications, PeopleSoft or any other ERP system is highly desirable
Experience of working in software products company
Experience of working with global teams
Knowledge of data integration/management/governance
Ability to work with cross functional teams
