In compliance of the judgment order dated 29th July 2010 of the Guwahati High Court, Shillong Bench, Shillong passed in MC (SH) No.295/10
 arising out of WPC (SH) No.205/10 and WPC No.(SH)222/10, the last date for submission of application in prescribed format for the following posts

Desirable: For Professor : Minimum of four Research publications indexed in Index Medicus/ National journal and one in International Journal.
For Associate Professor : Minimum of four Research publications indexed in Index Medicus/ National journal.
Pay Scale: (As per the Revised Pay of Faculty of Autonomous Institutions under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of
Health & Family Welfare vide letter F.No.V-16020/57/2008-ME-I dated 12 th January 2010.
 Professor: Pay Band 4 (Rs.37400-67000) with the minimum pay of Rs.51600/- and Academic Grade Pay of Rs.10500/- + NPA,
 Associate Professor: Pay Band 4 (Rs.37400-67000) subject to minimum Pay being Rs.42800/- and Academic Grade Pay Rs.9000/- + NPA
 Assistant Professor: Pay Band 3 (Rs.15600-39100); minimum Pay to be fixed at Rs.30000/- with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.8000/- + NPA
 (Non Medical Faculty - No NPA)

Age: (as on 22.09.2010) For Direct Recruitment not exceeding 50 years for the post of Professor, 45 years for the post of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor.
a) Deputy Medical Superintendent:
No. of Post-1(UR), Scale of pay- Pay Band 3 (Rs.15600-39100)) and Grade Pay Rs.6600/- + NPA plus other allowances as admissible under Govt. of India Rules.
 Age : Not exceeding 40 years (as on 22.09.2010.)
Educational qualification & Experience
1. A medical qualification included in the first or third schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing
 qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the sub section (3) of the section 13 of the Act.,
 2. MD/MS degree recognised by MCI,
 3. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council,
 4. Five years administrative experience in 500 bedded hospital or any health care organisation and
 5. Preference will be given to the candidates having MHA or MD Hospital Administration.
b) Professor cum Vice Principal ( No of post-1 UR) (Pay Scale-Pay Band-3 (Rs.15600-39100) and Grade Pay-Rs.7600/- plus other allowances as admissible under Govt. of
 India Rules.
 Age: Not exceeding 45 years (as on 22.09.2010)
 Essential Educational qualification & experience
 a) Master Degree in Nursing, b) 14 years experience after M.Sc (Nursing) in a College of Nursing and c) 3 years experience in administration.
Desirable: Independent published work of high standard/Doctorate Degree/M.Phil.
c) Lecturer :
 No of post- 4 (2 UR, 1 SC & 1 OBC), Pay Scale - (Pay Scale-Pay Band-3 (Rs.15600-39100) and Grade Pay-Rs.5400/- Age: Not exceeding 35 years (as on 22.09.2010)
 Essential Educational qualification & experience
 a) Master Degree in Nursing and b) 3 years teaching experience after M.Sc (Nursing).
General Information
 1 “Candidates who had applied earlier pursuant to the advertisement No.NEIGR-E.II/19/2004/Pt.V published on 20.09.2008, need not apply afresh.
 However, in case of the candidates, who had already applied for the posts mentioned in the said advertisement dated 20.09.2008 and acquired
 further qualifications in the interregnum, they may furnish further qualifications by filling further application or fresh application”.
 2 Applicants already in employment in Government/Semi-Government/Corporate Bodies should route their applications through their employers.
 Applications received directly without being forwarded by the parent department/present employer or applications not accompanied with No
 Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent department/present employer shall not be considered. The date for acceptance of applications routed
 from their employer and submission of NOC shall be the closing date of receipt of applications.
 3 In case applicants willing to join the Institute on deputation he/she may also apply accordingly. The qualification & experience for the applicant
 willing to join the Institute on deputation will be: persons working in analogous post or post one level below shall be eligible for consideration
 provided they fulfil the requisite qualification & experience prescribed for direct recruit. The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 3
 (three) years at a time. The pay of the Faculty Members will be protected as per Govt. of India’s Rules. Upper age limit for candidate willing to
 come on deputation should not exceed 56 year as on 22.09.2010.
 4 Applications of retired faculty members having requisite qualification & experience and who have not crossed 65 years of age may also be
 considered for appointment on contract basis and their pay & perks are negotiable within Government of India Rules.
 5 Accommodation will be provided to the Faculty members appointed at the Institute, subject to availability of quarters.
 6 AC second class train fare to and fro to the place of interview will be paid on production of tickets to the candidates who are called for interview.
 7 Reservation for SC/ ST/OBC will be as per Govt. of India norms.
 8 The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for Government Servants, Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Candidates and 3 years for OBC
 candidates.
 9 Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
 10 The effective date up-to which the requisite experience must be completed is 30th June 2011.
 11 The decision of the Institute as to eligibility or otherwise of a candidate will be final.
 12 The applicants, who do not have requisite qualifications up to the last date for submission of applications, will not be considered.
 13 Incomplete applications will not be considered.
 14 The number of posts may be increased/decreased depending upon the requirement at the time of interview.
 15 Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason thereof.
