An Interview of MBBS graduates, those who have completed their
internship and have not completed their tenure of House Job earlier, will be held on
26.08.2010 at 2.30 PM
in the office of Director Principal (Room No.210), 1st Floor, ‘D’
Block (Hospital Building), Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector - 32-B,
Chandigarh, for filling up posts of Junior Residents in various departments and also
preparing a panel for future vacancies occurring during the remaining period of the year
ending 31.12.2010.

NOTE:
i) Number of vacancies whether General & Reserve are tentative can
increase or decrease.
ii) 02 (Two) posts of Junior Residents are reserved for Orthopaedically
Physically handicapped persons (Non Surgical).
The eligible/interested candidates may obtain the format of application
alongwith other information regarding qualification, age, number of posts, terms and
conditions etc. from the office of the undersigned (Hall No.3, Level-II, Block 'D', Hospital
Building, GMCH, Chandigarh)
personally on any working day between 09.00 AM to
05.00 PM. The candidates already undergoing their Junior Residency in GMCH,
Chandigarh are not eligible to appear in the said interview. Applicants must mention the
overall maximum marks & over all marks obtained in all professionals of MBBS alongwith
overall percentage of marks of all professionals of MBBS in the application form. In case
OBC candidates are not available the candidates of General Category can be considered
till GMCH does not get a candidate from the OBC Category.
The application format duly completed in all respects alongwith the attested
photocopies of all the relevant certificates/testimonials and application fee of Rs. 100/-
(25/- for SC candidates, if applying for a post of reserved category ) in the shape of
Demand Draft, payable at Chandigarh, drawn in favour of Director Principal, Government
Medical College & Hospital, Sector - 32, Chandigarh should be submitted in the office of
the undersigned in Room No.228-A, (Diary & Despatch section) Level-II, Block-D, upto
23.08.2010 upto 5-00 PM.
The interview for these posts will be held on 26.08.2010 at
2.30 P.M.
in the office of the undersigned.

NOTE:

2. ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE ETC.
i) MBBS
ii) Registered with State Medical Council Register/Medical Council of
India.
iii) The candidates, who have already completed their one year rotatory
internship are eligible to apply.
3. TENURE OF THE POSTS
The above said posts are tenure posts and the same will be filled up for the period upto
31.12.2010. The Junior Residency, if done, in any Central Institution / hospital, the
same shall be counted while working out the tenure of one year, so as the maximum
period of Junior Residency should not exceed one year.
4. UPPER AGE LIMIT AS ON 01.01.2010
The upper age limit shall be 30 years for MBBS candidates for Junior
Residents.
5. RESERVATION AND RELAXATION:
(a) Age is relaxable for 5 years for SC, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for
widows/deserted women/women judicially separated from their husbands,
who are not re-married, and 5 years for Physically Handicaped . (b) The reservation and relaxation in the upper age limit i.e. for the above categories
of posts reserved for such categories will be made, as per the instructions issued
by the Government of India from time to time.
(c) The SC/OBC candidates applying for un-reserved posts are not entitled to any
relaxation in upper age limit/application fee.
(d) The candidates belonging to their own category will be considered against the
aforesaid posts.
(e) The claim of the candidates to SC/OBC (not BC) categories should be
considered only when the same is accompanied by a valid certificate issued by
the competent authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India.
(f) In case OBC candidates are not available the candidates of General Category
can be considered till GMCH does not get a candidate from the OBC Category.
6. PAY SCALE
Rs. 15600-39100/- carrying Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- + other Allowances
as admissible.

. APPLICATION FEE
The Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rs.25/- in case of SC candidate, if applying for
reserved category), non refundable, through Demand Draft payable at
Chandigarh in favour of Director Principal, Government Medical College &
Hospital, Sector - 32, Chandigarh should be sent alongwith the Application.
8. OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS:
(i) The number of posts are tentative and can be increased or decreased.
The department reserves the right to withdraw the post at any time,
without assigning any reason or without any notice whatsoever.
(ii) The Candidates who have already completed their tenure of Junior
Residency are not eligible to apply.
(iii) The candidates already doing their Junior Residency in this institute are
not eligible for interview.
(iv) The Junior Residents, who have earlier worked in this institute and their
services, were dispensed with on account of misconduct or otherwise by
this institute, are not eligible to apply against these posts.
(v) The applications duly completed in all respects in the prescribed format
alongwith the attested copies of educational qualifications, experience,
date of birth, character certificate, medical registration certificate with
Medical Council of India/State Medical Council, internship completion
certificate, Mark Sheet of First Prof. Second Prof., MBBS final year/Prof.,
Part-I and II, Caste/Community Certificate issued by the competent
authority alongwith latest photograph and application fees of Rs. 100/-
(25/- for SC / ST candidates if applying for reserved category) in the
shape of Demand Draft, payable at Chandigarh drawn in favour of
Director Principal, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector - 32,
Chandigarh should be submitted in the office of the undersigned i.e.
Room No. 228-A (Diary & Despatch Section) Level-II, Block-D, latest by
23.08.2010 upto 5-00 PM.
(vi) The original documents of the candidates will be checked on 26.08.2010
at 12.30 PM onwards in Committee Room. Hence, the candidates are
requested to be present well in time before 12.30 PM.
(vii) The candidates, who have completed their internship after passing MBBS
at Govt. Medical College & hospital, Chandigarh up to 30.06.2010 should
clearly mention in their Application From about their being Govt. Medical
College & Hospital, Chandigarh Cadre candidate.
(viii) The interviews for these posts will be held on 26.08.2010 at 2.30 P.M. in
the office of the undersigned i.e. Room No. 210, level- 2, Block-D,
Hospital Building, Sector-32-B, Chandigarh.
(ix) Incomplete applications/applications received without attested copies of
above mentioned certificates and those received after due date and time
will be summarily rejected.
(x) No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.
