APPLICATIONS OF DNA MICROARRAY
IN PHARMACY
A DNA MICROARRAY is a multiplex technology used in identification of herbal drugs and action of it. It consists of an arrayed series of thousands of microscopic spots of DNA oligonucleotides called features each containing picomoles of specific DNA sequence known as ASPROBES which is a short section of gene that are used to hybridize a cDNA or cRNA sample(called target) under high stringency conditions.

Manufacturing and evaluation of
ORALLY DISINTEGRATING TABLETS OF METOPROLOL
Conditions of hypertension can lead to various heart diseases like angina pectoris, arrythmiasis finally leading to myocardial infarction leading to death of patients if left untreated. So formulations are to be made which can reduced the elevated blood pressure and during cases of emergencies the conventional dosage form may not be found effective as the onset of action may be delayed. ORALLY DISINTEGRATING TABLETS OF METOPROLOL can rapidly disintegrate in the mouth itself within less than 60 seconds giving instant onset of action and relieving from the emergency conditions.

SKILLS
During the industrial training have interacted in different departments of Quality control, Quality Assurance, RO Water systems and production in API production and acquired knowledge in these areas with the instruments HPLC, GC, REACTORS,RO WATER SYSTEMS and various other microbiological instruments and titration instruments.
During the completion of major project on Orally Disintegrating tablets of Metoprolol have used major equipment of UV SPECTROSCOPY with software UV WIN. Also gained knowledge on HPLC with EMPOWER SOFTWARE and GC.
