Kolkata Port Trust Vacancies 2010 : Assistant Engineer Mechanical

Kolkata Port Trust intends to fill up the following Class-I posts in the scale of pay of Rs. 9100-
15100/- (due for revision) by direct recruitment:

Post : Number of vacancy : Educational and other qualification
Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)
1 OBC
i)Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
ii) Training and experience for a minimun period of
two years in a reputed mechanical engineering
workshop after obtaining degree and must possess
thorough knowledge in modern production methods.
Practical experience in manufacturing concerns
dealing either with wharf cranes or diesel engines
would be considered as an advantage.

Accounts Officer I
OBC
A Chartered Accountant or an MBA in Finance or
Master in Commerce with specialisation in
Accountancy and Auditing.
Desirable:
2 years’ experience in the field of Finance, Accounting, and Auditing.

Assistant Land Manager
1 OBC
i) Graduate in any discipline preferably in Civil Engineering/Town & Country
Planning/Architecture/Corporate Membership of Institution of Surveyors (India).
ii) Should have knowledge and experience of Laws/ Rules relating to land, viz Laws of Contracts, Real Estate, Acquisition of Land, Urban Tenancies, etc.
iii) Three years’ experience in Estate Management Work in a Government Department/Local Authority/Town Administration in a responsible
position.
Age – 30 years as on 1st August, 2010, relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates.
The emoluments at starting of the pay scale (pre-revised) will be Rs. 23,000/-
(Approx.). The incumbents in addition to their emoluments will also be entitled to PF, Gratuity,
LTC, Leave Encashment, and Medical coverage for self and dependent family members.

Mode of application:
Application containing detailed bio-data including date of birth, permanent address, address for
communication, nationality, religion, details of educational and professional qualification, details
of experience and post held (indicating names of employer) salary drawn, whether SC/ST/OBC,
extra curricular activities, contact phone number and any other relevant information, with two
recent passport size self attested photographs in sealed envelope superscribed “Application for
the post of ……………………………….” should be sent to the Secretary, Kolkata Port Trust, 15,
Strand Road, Kolkata – 700 001 latest by 16th August, 2010. Incomplete application or application
received after 16th August, 2010 will not be entertained.
