Applications are invited for the 02 [two] Group 'C' posts (One from Scout and one from Guide) in scale Rs 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1900/2000 against Scouts and Guides quota of 2010-11 for Headquarter, East Central Railway, Hajipur.
Educational Qualification
(i) Matriculation and its equivalent
(ii) a) A President's Scout/Guide/Ranger/Rover
OR
Himalayan Wood Badge Holder
OR
A Pre-HWB trained Scout leader/Advanced Trained Guide/Leader/Captain
b) Should have been an active member of Scouts Organization for at least 03 years in the recent past
and should continue to be active.
c) Should have attended at least one event at National Level and one or two events at State Level.

OR

Should have a good record of participation in Scouts/Guides activities at Unit/District level.
Age
18 to 30 years [age will reckoned on 01.01.2011]
[Upper age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC]
Examination Fees
The Examination fees for recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota in Group ‘C’ will be Rs. 40/- . Date of issue of IPO/Bank Draft should not be before the date of issue of this Employment Notice (SC / ST and Ex. Servicemen are fully exempted from Examination fee). Postal Order/Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of ‘FA & CAO, East Central Railway, Hajipur’ payable at Hajipur.
Note All the applications should be in closed envelope subscribing on the top of the envelope the “Employment Notice No.” and “Recruitment against Scouts and Guides Quota.”
How & whom to apply ?
The given format should be neatly typed or hand written either in Hindi or English with one Passport size photographs to be pasted [duly signed] with the application form and two passport size photographs duly signed at back side should be clipped along the application form. Application should be sent to Dy. Chief Personnel Officer /Recruitment., Railway Recruitment Cell, Polson Complex, Digha Ghat, Patna, Bihar, PIN- 800011 so as to reach on or before 23-08-2010 by ordinary post or to be dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in above office up to 18.00 Hrs. on or before 23-08-2010. No receipt at the counter will be given.
All the candidates should indicate clearly “Application against Scouts and Guides Quota”, Employment Notice No. ECR/HRD/Rectt/Scouts & Guide Quota/1/2010-11 & Community on the top of the envelope.
No application will be accepted after the closing date for whatever reason. Neither any enclosure will be received separately after the receipt of application for attachment with application.
Enclosures : The following enclosures should be firmly attached with the application.
(a) Postal Order / Bank Draft of Rs. 40/- in favour of ‘FA&CAO, East Central Railway, Hajipur.’
(b) Xorox Copy of certificates attested by Gazetted Officer/Self Attested in support of age, educational qualification and participation certificate in Scouts & Guides for their eligibility as mentioned above.
(c) Xorox Copy of Caste Certificate attested by Gazetted Officer/Self Attested in case of SC / ST candidates, For OBC candidates, current creamy layer certificate (for Central Government Service) issued by the competent authority should be enclosed.
(d) Three similar recent passport size photograph duly signed. One photograph is to be pasted on the application and two photographs are to be attached with the application form.
Procedure for Recruitment
The candidate, who apply in response to above notification issued against Scouts and Guides Quota and are found eligible for consideration for appointment against Scouts and Guides Quota will be assessed on the basis of Written Test and Scouts/Guides Qualification over and above the minimum prescribed eligibility condition and Personality Test/Interview.
The mode of selection, date, venue and time will be intimated to the eligible candidate through post (under certificate of posting). The decision of East Central Railway in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, allotment of venues will be final and binding on the candidates.
The decision of the Recruitment Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection.
Subsequent guidelines received from Railway Board shall also be applicable for this notification.
For any legal action arising out of the above jurisdiction shall be CAT [Central Administrative Tribunal] Patna.
