RECRUITMENT OF ARCHITECT- Advt No. C06/2010
IRCON INTERNATIONAL LIMITED is a premier schedule “A” infrastructure Public
Sector Enterprise under Ministry of Railways engaged in the construction of turnkey
infrastructure projects in Railways, Highways, Buildings, Power sectors, etc. The Company
has recorded a turnover of more than Rs. 3145 crores in the year 2009-10. The company has
successfully completed large value Railway Projects in India and abroad including Malaysia,
Bangladesh, Algeria, Iraq, Syria, etc.
The company invites applications for the post of Architect on contract basis for 2 years
at fixed all inclusive salary for its Rail Coach Factory Project at Rae Bareilly.
Architect
Fixed salary: Rs. 30,000/- p.m.
Total Posts – 2
BE Architect Minimum 3 years in a reputedarchitectural firm.
Should have proficiency in Auto CAD drafting of complexbuildings.

(*) Age is relaxable in deserving cases having relevant experience.

Medical Standards: Candidates should be in sound health. No relaxation in health standards
will be allowed.

Selection Process: Through walk-in interviews as per schedule given at para C-iii below.
A The above posts are specifically for the Rail Coach Factory Project at Rae
Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh and not for the regular establishment of IRCON. The
appointment will be initially for two years, extendable further till completion of
the project if the services of the candidates are found to be satisfactory. However,
the appointment is co-terminus with the project and will not confer any right to
claim absorption in regular establishment of the company or for appointment in
other projects of the company.
B-1 There are no allowances over and above the fixed pay.
B-2 Reimbursement for indoor treatment for self at the place of posting only would be
permissible.
B-3 Minimum PF as prescribed under the EPF & MP Act 1952 will be deducted from the
salary and a matching contribution will be made by the company. The accumulations
will be paid at the time of cessation of contract.
B-4 One leave for each calendar month of service which can be availed during the contract
period. Leave can be carried forward and accumulated but no leave encashment for
unavailed leave is allowed during the contract or on resignation or termination of
contract. No other type of leave would be admissible.

B-5 One weekly off and other public holidays when the project office remains closed would
be available.
B-6 TA/DA would also be admissible if deputed on outstation duty.
B-7 No other perks or benefits would be admissible except the above.

d) Certificates in proof of experience clearly indicating the length and line of experience
as per eligibility conditions
ii) Applications not accompanied by Experience certificate or vague experience certificates
will not be entertained.
iii) Applicants may send their application in advance by 17-08-2010 or Applicants who
consider themselves as eligible should straightway report for an interview alongwith
duly filled in application as per the following schedule. No interview call letters will
be issued as this is a walk-in-interview.

while coming for the interview failing which the interview of the candidate will not
be held.

v) Applicants working in Govt./PSUs may note that this is a short duration contract post
and even for these posts they have to produce NOC at the time of interview and resign
from their parent organisation on their selection.

Engineering Consultants to carry out Design and Supervision services necessary for the effective implementation of the Multi - Sector Project for Infrastructure Rehabilitation in Jammu and Kashmir (ADB Funded)
Scope of Work : The project was conceived with the vision of bringing the urban services related to Drainage, Water Supply and Public Toilets etc for environmental improvement by rehabilitation of the existing infrastructure and utility facilities in Jammu and Kashmir.
Apart from Design and Supervision of work execution (Construction Management), the scope of work includes certification of bills, variation, escalations, collections of data, details of existing system and design construction of rehabilitation and channelization of existing drains and construction of new secondary and primary drains, details of existing scheme, existing pipe line net work, flow measurements, leak detection, analysis of data, water loss assessment, water audit, water supply zoning, network design, augmentation of existing system, design of pumping and transmission main, distribution network, service reservoirs and also design construction of Public Toilet at various part of Jammu City and procurement of equipments and vehicle for garbage and drain cleaning in Jammu and Srinagar under solid waste management sector.
The cost of work amounting to Rs.293crore (Approx) under different sector is as follows :-
1) Water Supply (Piping Work, OHT/GLSR and Intake Structure) - Rs.222Crore
2) Storm Water Drainage - Rs.66Crore
3) Solid Waste Management - Rs.5Crore

The total project has been grouped under its characteristics for the type of services is as follows:
- Water Supply
- Water tankers for distribution of water
- Public Toilets
- Procurement of Mechanical Equipment for Solid Waste Management & Drain cleaning
- Drainage System
- Road works
- Toilet Buildings with architectural and structural details i.e SULABH TOILETS, PAY & USE TOILET, Pump Room Buildings.
- Over Head Tanks
- Ground Water Service reservoirs
- Intake Structures
Duties rendered : Was responsible for the followings:-
1) Assisting the Engineers for preparation of the existing and proposed new pipeline network using AutoCAD 2007 for network drawings using AutoCAD 2007 for reference purposes and EPANET for designing and calibration purpose resulting in measurement of exact quantity of water to be acquired.
2) Preparing working drawings, construction drawings, submission drawings & As built drawings of long section of alignments of pipe line.
3) Preparing of presentation drawings, submission drawings & as built drawings of location marking of different structures on a combined map of the city
4) Preparing of As-built Structural drawings relating to OHT (max - 2.5lakhs gallon) and Tube wells
5) Preparing of As-built drawings relating to primary and secondary drains Preparing of As-built drawings of total network of Water Distribution System
6) Preparing of As-built drawings for construction of Buildings (Public Toilet, Pump Room, Septic Tank etc)
7) Preparing working & construction drawings of Structural & Architectural structure of Intake structure
PRESENT ASSIGNMENT: Presently I am working on water supply package in which lies Strengthening of Distribution Network, Pump Room Drgs. with Architectural and structural detailing, Tube well assembly and Strata chart drgs. L-Sections of Pipe lines. Recently I have prepared the architectural detailed drgs. of Intake Structure at Boria. Now I am preparing As built Drgs. of Distribution Networks of Jammu East and Jammu West as per site conditions I had also prepare Drainage Drgs like Structural Drgs. of Culverts etc.
