WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Walk-In-Interview for the post of (i) Research Associate (Database Management and Programming) under Bill and Melinda Gates foundation (BNGF) sponsored ICAR-ICRISAT Collaborative Sub-Project on “Tracking Change in rural Poverty in House Hold and Village Economies in Eastern India” will be held at 10:00 A.M. on 20th August 2010 at NCAP, Pusa, New Delhi-12. Interested and eligible candidates are requested to attend the walk-in interview with original academic and experience certificates.
The project is supported by BNGF and aims at understanding the dynamic process for reducing poverty in South Asia by tracking the household and village economics continuously. In the sub-project, NCAP is focusing on Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa. Main objectives of the sub-project include enhancing the availability of the reliable household, individual and field specific, high frequency, time series data in selected villages and nurture policy analysis and strengthen capacity building for poverty reduction in eastern region of India. The various activities of the post include database development and management, website development and management, validation and checking of data entry schedules, creation and maintenance of data entry forms, data tabulation, analysis and related programming.

Emoluments: Rs 17000/-pm consolidated + 30%HRA for Master degree holder and Rs 18000/-pm +30% HRA for Ph.D. degree holder

Essential Qualifications : Ph.D. (Computer Science/Computer Applications) from a recognized university.

OR

Masters Degree (Computer Science/Computer Applications) from a recognized university with a minimum of first class and having experience of minimum two years in relevant area with evidence.

Desirable : Proficiency in spoken and written English and Hindi, Two years
of work experience with database management software and/or analyzing survey data, website development.

Age : The upper age limit would be 40 years for men and 45 years for women
