(A) FELLOWSHIP SCHEME FOR DOCTORAL WORK

IN CRIMINOLOGY AND POLICE SCIENCE.

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the Award of six
Fellowships for Doctoral work in Criminology and Police Science for three
years payable to the institution where the fellow is registered for Ph.D. work.

ELIGIBILITY:

1.
Master’s Degree with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade) in
Criminology/ Sociology /Social Work /Psychology /Social Anthropology/
Public administration/ Political Science/ Law.

2.
Preference to the NET/SET qualified candidate.

3. Registered
for Ph.D programme with any recognized Indian
university in any of the subject mentioned above.

4. AGE:
30 years as on 30.07.2010.

5. Reservation
: 20% reserved for SC/ST candidates and 30% reserved
for women candidates of the total numbers of fellowships.

6. Application forms and rules:
Copies of rules and prescribed application
for fellowship scheme in criminology and police sciences are available on
request or can be downloaded from our website www.bprd.gov.in
Application should be addressed to, The Director General, Bureau of Police
Research & Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Block No. 11, 4th
Floor, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003. Applicants are
required to send self-addressed unstamped envelope (28cmx12 cms)
attached with the request.

8. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. Any
canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates by brining political and other
pressure and influence with regard to the selection, shall be considered as a
disqualification.
