ADVERTISEMENT NO. 6 YEAR 2010
 Applications are invited by the Commission for the below mentioned
 posts. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the
 Commission is 29.07.2010. Casa J.D. Fernandes Stationery Supplier,
 Printers & Book Binders, Opposite Municipal Garden, Panaji, are
 authorized to sell the prescribed application form. The Commission
 does not take the responsibility of supplying application forms by post.

 use the application form available at GPSC website.
2. Incomplete applications in any manner are liable to be rejected
 summarily by the Commission.
3. The age limit shown against each post is relaxable upto five years for
 Government servants and the candidates belonging to SC/ST, upto 3
 years for candidates belonging to OBC, upto 10 years (15 years for
 SC/ST and 13 years for OBC) in the upper age limit to blind, deaf-mute
 and orthopaedically handicapped persons and upto 5 years for children
 of freedom fighters.
4. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge
 of Konkani, this requirement may be relaxed in case of below
 mentioned posts.
5. The Commission will draw a panel of candidates, which will remain
 valid for a period of one year.
6. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not
 entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where number of
 applications received is large the Commission will short list the
 candidates to be called for interview.
I. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES
 1. Junior Gynaecologist …… 1 Post (resvd. for OBC) (3rd time)
 Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-.
 Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
 Educational & Other Qualifications:-
 Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or
 Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate
 qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956)
 Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third
 Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-section (3)
 of Section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post
 Graduate Degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality
 concerned. (iii) In case of Diploma holders, work in responsible position
 connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after postgraduation
 Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
 Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
II. LABOUR DEPARTMENT
 2. Junior Anaesthetist in E.S.I., Margao …… 1 Post (resvd. for PH)
 Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-.
 Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
 Educational & Other Qualifications:-
 Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or
 Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate
 qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of
 educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule
 should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-section (3) of section
 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post Graduate Degree in
 the speciality concerned. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
 Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
III. DIRECTORATE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
 3. Manager (Technical) …… 1 Post (4th time)
 Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-.
 Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
 Educational & Other Qualifications:-
 Essential: (i) Degree in Engineering/Technology (Electronics and
 Telecommunications/Computer Science/Information Technology) or
 Master in Computer applications or equivalent. (ii) Experience: 3 years
 exposure to Database Oracle/SOL Server/MySOL, DB2, Postgreg
 Networking, VB, ASP, JAVA, VC-+, OOPS, HTML/XML, Applications
 related to Linux OS and other OS, Knowledge of Technologies related
 to E-Governance, LAN, WAN, Security Smart Card, etc. Understanding
 project requirements and project planning and Management etc.
 (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
 Note: The candidates who had applied in response to Advt. No.
 8/2009 published on 11.09.09, may also apply afresh in response to
 this advt.
IV. CAPTAIN OF PORTS DEPARTMENT
 4. Deputy Hydrographic Surveyor --- 1 Post
 Scale of pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+5,400/-.
 Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
 Educational & Other Qualifications:-
 Essential:- (i) Licentiate member of the Institution of Surveyors (India)
 in Sub-Div.I (b) Hydrographic Surveying and minimum of 5 years
 experience in surveying in a recognized Hydrographic Surveying Service
 as Asst. Hydrographic Surveyor or equivalent, after obtaining Licentiate
 member.
 OR
 Should be a Survey Recorder 1st Class of the Indian Navy and at least
 5 years experience in Surveying in a recognized Hydrographic
 Surveying Services as Asst. Hydrographic Surveyor or equivalent, after
 obtaining Survey Recorder 1st Class of the Indian Navy. (ii) Knowledge
 of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
V. GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, BICHOLIM
 5. H.O.D. in Electronics and Communication ------ 1 Post
 Scale of Pay: Rs.12,000-18,300/-(Total emoluments Rs. 32,340/-)
 Age: Not exceeding 45 years.
 Educational & Other Qualifications:-
 Essential: (i) Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of
 Engineering/Technology with 1st Class at Master’s or Bachelor’s level
 with 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research, at the level of
 Lecturer or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.
 Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
 Note: Candidates from Industry/Profession with a 1st Class Bachelor’s
 Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology and with
 recognised Professional work equivalent to Master’s Degree in the
 appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology and 5 years
 experience will also be eligible for the post of Head of Department.
Note: For the above purpose, “appropriate branch” means the
 branch in which the post is to be filled up or such other branch where
 there is demonstrative evidence of likeness of subject matter
 covered.
6. Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering …… 1 Post (reserved for OBC)
 Scale of Pay: Rs. 8,000-13,500/-. (Total emoluments Rs. 21,600/-)
 Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
 Educational & Other Qualifications:-
 Essential: (i) 1st Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of
 Engineering/Technology or 1st Class Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate
 branch of Engineering/Technology. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.
 Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
 Note: For the above purpose, “appropriate branch” means the
 branch in which the post is to be filled up or such other branch where
 there is demonstrative evidence of likeness of subject matter
 covered.
VI. GOA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
 7. Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Analysis …… 1 Post (5th time)
 Scale of Pay: Rs. 12,000-18,300/-. Age : Not exceeding 45 years.
 Educational & Other Qualifications:
 Essential: (i) Ph. D. Degree (with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s
 level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy. (ii) 3
 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at the level of lecturer
 or equivalent. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
 Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
 Note: (i) Candidates from Industry/Profession with First Class
 Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy
 and with Professional work which is significant and can be recognized
 as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 5 years experience would also
 be eligible.
