FCI Jobs 2010 WEST ZONE : Special Recruitment Drive for Persons with Disabilities PWD
FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA
The Food Corporation of India, one of the largest Public Sector Undertakings,
dealing with Foodgrain supply-chain management wishes to recruit young and
skilled Category II, III & IV personnel for manning posts in its depots or offices
spread all over the country. Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals
who fulfill the prescribed qualifications and age etc. for the posts indicated below:-

The persons with the Degree of Disability of 40% and above shall be eligible for applying
for the PH category. A person who wants to avail benefit of reservation would have to
submit a Disability certificate issued by Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or a
State Government. Candidates should specifically mention the nature of handicap and
enclose an attested copy of certificate issued by the authority mentioned above.
QUALIFICATIONS:
01 Management Trainee
(Accounts)
CA/AICWA/ACWA(London)/MBA(Fin.) from a
recognized University/ Institute.
02 Management Trainee
(Depot)
Degree from a recognized University. Preference
would, however, be given to those having a Post
Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma of 2 Years
full time duration or 3 years part time in Business
Management / Industrial Relations/ MCA.
03 Management Trainee
(Tech.)
Degree in Agriculture or in Science with Diploma in
Food Technology from a recognized University /
Institute.
04 Junior Engineer (CE) Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil
Engineering with 1 year experience
05 Asstt.Grade.I(Hindi) Essential:-
(i) Master's Degree of a recognized University in
Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a main subject at
Degree level OR Master's Degree of a recognized
University in any subject with Hindi and English as
main subjects at Degree level OR Master's Degree of
a recognized University in any subject with Hindi/
English medium and English/Hindi as main subjects
at Degree level OR Master's Degree in Hindi/English
or any other subject with Hindi/English medium with
English/Hindi as a main subject or as medium of
examination at Degree level. (ii) Recognized
Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi to
English and vice-versa or 2 years Experience of
translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa
in Central/State Government offices, including
Government of India Undertakings.
06 Asstt.Grade-II (Hindi) Essential: (1) Degree of a recognized University with
Hindi as the main subject (2) Proficiency in English (3)
One year experience of translation from English to
Hindi and vice-versa.
Desirable: - Post Graduate qualification in Hindi.
07 AG III (General) Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized
University along with 'O' level computer qualification of
DOEACC OR Degree in Computer Science or Computer

08 AG III (Accounts) (i) Graduate Degree in Commerce / Mathematics /
Statistics from a recognized University.

14 Sweeper Should be able to read and write in any language.

RESERVATION AND RELAXATION :
1. The prescribed qualification, experience and the age limit shall be
reckoned as on 01.08.2010.
2. In case of departmental employees, there will not be any upper age limit.
3. The age limit for PH candidates is relaxed by 10 years (15 Years for PH
candidates belonging to SC/ST and 13 years for PH candidates belonging
to OBC - NCL).
4. Age is additionally relaxed by 5 years for those applicants who had
ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division in the State of Jammu
and Kashmir during the period of 01.01.80 to 31.12.89. Any applicant
intending to avail the relaxation under this category shall have to submit a
certificate from a) The District Magistrate in Kashmir Division within whose
jurisdiction she/he had ordinarily resided or b) any other authority
designated in this behalf by the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir in the effect
that she/he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the
State of Jammu & Kashmir, during the period from 01.01.80 to 31.12.89.
SELECTION PROCESS
FOR CATEGORY II POSTS
The selection process consists of written test, group discussion and interview. The venue
and schedule of written test will be intimated to individual applicants along with the admit
card. The same will also be uploaded on the website link http://specialtest.in/fci. The
written test shall be conducted in Hindi/English. On qualifying the written test, GDs and
interviews will be held for short-listed candidates. It is essential to appear in every stage
of the examination.
FOR CATEGORY III POSTS
Selection process consists of written test only. The venue and schedule of written test will
be intimated to individual applicants along with the admit card. The same will also be
uploaded on the website link http://specialtest.in/fci .The written test shall be conducted
in Hindi/English. On qualifying the Written Test, short-listed candidates will be called for
document verification to confirm their eligibility for the post applied for. Based on the merit
obtained by them in the written test, a panel of selected candidates would be formed from
amongst those found eligible after document verification.
FOR CATEGORY IV POSTS
The selection process for Category IV will consist of written test and interview. The written
test will be conducted in Hindi/ English.
GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTION:
1. All the posts carry IDA pattern pay scales and usual allowances such as CCA,
HRA, Leave Travel facilities etc. These scales carry DA on percentage basis.
Gross emoluments would vary depending upon place of posting.
2. The Management Trainees will be put on training for a period of six months.
During the training period, the Management trainees will be paid stipend @
Rs.8500/- per month. They shall also be eligible for reimbursement of train /
bus fare as per the rules and daily allowance is admissible when they will be
sent to field office and/or other offices during the training. They shall not be
reimbursed any lodging charges separately. On successful completion of the
training, they shall be absorbed as Managers in their respective cadres in the pay
scale of Rs.16400-40500 with an Annual Increment @ 3%. They shall remain on
probation for a period of one year (extendable by one year) as Managers.
3. The selected candidates for the post of Management trainee will have to sign a
bond of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only) for serving the Corporation for a
minimum period of 3 years after completion of their training.
4. Employees of the Central/State Govt./Public Sector Undertakings should apply
online, take a printout of filled form, attach the No Objection Certificate from
their employer alongwith other essential enclosures and send it to the address
mentioned so as to reach within the stipulated time.
5. Mere submission of application and fulfilling the eligibility criteria gives no right
to any person for appearing in test / interview etc.
6. Filling up of these vacancies is subject to the outcome of any litigation affecting
the recruitment.
7. No correspondence will be entertained about the outcome of the application, at
any stage.
8. Application, not in the prescribed Performa or incomplete, shall be summarily
rejected.
9. There will be a written Test for all eligible applicants. Tests are likely to be
conducted at Mumbai, Raipur, Ahmedabad and Bhopal. Management
reserves the right to change or cancel any test centre. The applicants should
clearly give their preference of examination centre in the application form. On
qualifying the written test, Group Discussion (for Category II) and interviews
(for Category II & IV) shall be held for shortlisted candidates. It is essential to
appear in every stage of the examination.
10. All appointments will be subject to the Rules and Regulations of the
Corporation, in-force from time to time. Other benefits like CPF, Gratuity,
Leave Travel Concessions, Leave Encashment, Medical reimbursement,
conveyance reimbursement, lunch subsidy etc., shall be applicable as per the
rules of the Corporation as amended from time to time.
11. The selected candidates are liable to be posted any where in West Zone
(comprising MP, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra Regions and Zonal Office
(W), Mumbai). However they are also liable to be posted anywhere in the
country if required in the organization's interest.
12. No TA will be provided for the written test. However, for attending the Group
Discussion / Interview (for Category II Posts), document verification process
(Category III & IV Posts), candidates will be given II class rail fare or ordinary
bus fare "To and Fro" (as per entitlement) by the shortest route, subject to
production of Railway Ticket/Bus ticket & subject to passing the document
verification process.
13. Candidates should satisfy themselves that they fulfill the required qualification
including Computer Qualification, age etc., before applying for the post. In case
it is found that the information furnished by a candidate is defective in any
manner or has deliberately suppressed information, the candidature will be
summarily rejected as and when it comes to the notice of the Management.
The candidates are advised to satisfy themselves fully about the correctness of
the information furnished, if found ineligible at any stage the candidature would
be rejected.
14. Management reserves the right to call for any additional documentary evidence
in support of educational qualification & experience of the applicant.
15. OBC-NCL candidate shall also furnish certificate of Appropriate Authority in
support of their claim i.e. belonging to Non-creamy layer.
16. No other Computer Qualification other than expressly mentioned in the
Qualification Criteria would be accepted.
17. Self attested Photostat copies of documents for proof of
age/qualifications/caste etc. should be attached with the application. Without
these the candidature would be rejected. Original certificates will, however, be
scrutinized / verified at the time of document verification.
18. Issue of Admit card for the written test & calling for document verification does
not confer any right of acceptance of candidature and should not be construed
as an acknowledgement of fulfilling the eligibility criterion.
19. At the time of the document verification process, if a candidate is unable to
produce all the original documents due to whatsoever reason, his candidature
would be rejected. Under no circumstances additional time would be provided.
Thus only those candidates are advised to apply who can produce all the
relevant documents in original at the time of verification of documents.
20. Care should be exercised by the Departmental candidate to send their
application format alongwith the No Objection Certificate from respective
competent authority, so as to reach within the stipulated date.
21. Any attempt to influence the Corporation in any manner would result in
disqualification and rejection of candidature immediately.
22. Candidate must ensure to have fulfilled all the eligibility criteria, viz., Age and
Qualification as on 01.08.2010.
23. Appointment of empanelled candidates will be subject to their being found
medically fit, verification of character and antecedents and verification of caste
certificate wherever applicable.
HOW TO APPLY :
1. Since the recruitment is exclusively for PH candidates, there is NO FEES. For
this an attested copy of SC/ST/PH certificate issued by appropriate authority,
may be enclosed.
2. Application can be submitted by a candidate only once and against only one
of the posts, which means candidate has only ONE choice of selection of ONE
of the posts offered. Hence, candidates should apply for the post, most suiting
to his/her Qualifications, Experience etc.
3. Application can be made in online mode only. The candidates who apply
online have to fill all the details online, then take print out of filled form, affix
photo & put signatures at designated places & then send the form along with
demand draft & photocopies of certificates to the post box number, as
mentioned therein.
