National Water Development Agency, a registered society under the Union Ministry of Water Resources proposes to fill the following posts by direct recruitment from amongst candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/Gen. category.

1 Design Assistant 01 vacancy
Rs.9300-34800/- Grade Pay Rs.4200/- Rs.9300+4200(GP) + allowances

2 Junior Engineer 08 vacancy
Rs.5200-20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2800/- Rs.8560+2800(GP) + allowances

3 Stenographer Gr.III, 01 vacancy
Rs.5200-20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2400/- Rs.7510+2400(GP) + allowances

4 Lower Division Clerk 06 vacancies
Rs.5200-20200/- Grade Pay Rs.1900/- Rs.5830+1900(GP) + allowances

Note: Preference will be given to physically handicapped persons.

Scheme of Selection:
1. For Sl. No. 1 & 2: By interview only.
2. For Sl.No. 3: Written paper about general awareness of 100 marks. Shorthand test with 80 w.p.m. in
English or 60 w.p.m. in Hindi. Typing test with 40 w.p.m.in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi.
3. For Sl.No. 4: General awareness 100 marks. Essay 100 marks.( Combined paper of 3 hrs duration).
English/Hindi typing test at the speed of 30/25 w.p.m.
4. Knowledge of computer for the post of stenographer Grade-III and Lower Division Clerk will be
preferred.

5 Qualifications
i) For Sl. No. 1:
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University or equivalent.

ii) For Sl. No. 2:
Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

iii) For Sl.No. 3:
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Possessing minimum speed of 80 w.p.m. in English or 60 w.p.m. in Hindi shorthand.
Possessing typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi

iv) For Sl. No.4:
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or equivalent and Minimum speed in English typewriting of 30 w.p.m. or Hindi typewriting of 25 w.p.m.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer operating system, computer peripherals etc.

6. Age Limit: Between 18-27 years (Relaxable for Government servants/ employees of Autonomous
Bodies in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Government from time to time.

7. Place of likely posting:
i. Design Assistant : Delhi
ii. Junior Engineer : Patna (2), Lucknow (1), Gwalior (1), Jaipur (1) Bhubaneshwar (1)
: Hyderabad (1) and Bangaore (1).
iii. Stenographer Grade-III : Lucknow.
iv. Lower Division Clerk : Delhi (2), Nasik (2) and Vadodara (2).

Note-1 : Candidates can opt one, two, three stations for posting in preference. Selection/posting will be
strictly according to combined merit for all stations.

Note-2 : Applications for the posts of Design Assistant, Stenographer Grade-III and Lower Division
Clerk may be sent to Director (Admn.), National Water Development Agency, 18-20,

Note-3 : Applications for the posts of Junior Engineer at Patna, Lucknow, Gwalior, Jaipur and
Bhubaneshwar may be sent to the Chief Engineer (North), National Water Development Agency,
4/193 – F, Vishal Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow (U.P.)– 226 010.

Note-4 : Applications for the posts of Junior Engineer at Hyderabad and Bangalore may be sent to Chief
Engineer (South), National Water Development Agency, M 4 Block,1st Floor, Manoranjan
Complex, M. J. Road, Hyderabad – 500 001.

8. Other conditions:
a) The selected candidate will be liable to be posted anywhere in India.
b) No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the exam/interview.
c) Please attach photocopies in support of claim of educational qualification, caste and experience duly attested by a Gazetted officer.
d) The above posts carry allowances, as applicable to Central Govt. Employees of corresponding status with CPF & Medical facilities, as per the rules of NWDA.
e) Canvassing in any manner would lead to rejection of application and candidature at any stage.
f) Applications received after the last date shall not be accepted including those not sent through proper channel.
g) Wrong and incomplete application shall be rejected and onus of such rejection would be on the candidate himself.
h) NWDA reserves the right to rectify any omission in notification.
i) Mere fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualification/requirement as laid down in the advertisement will not vest any right upon the candidate for being called for exam/interview. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
j) Applications duly filled in the prescribed proforma must reach the designated offices within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News. Prescribed proforma may be downloaded from the website of NWDA http://www.nwda.gov.in.
