    ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF

    Clerk - B (Trainee) & Stenographer Grade - III (Trainee)

    Central Electricity Supply Utility of Orissa (CESU)
    invites applications from the eligible
    candidates for the post of Clerk-B (Trainee) & Stenographer Grade-III (Trainee) for
    engagement in CESU Distribution System.

    1. Essential Qualification :

    i) Candidates must be a Graduate with 50% marks with proficiency in Computer Application.
    Minimum essential qualification is Graduation with proficiency in Computer Application
    for candidates presently engaged in CESU through agencies.
    ii) Certificate of passing Oriya Language Test (Minimum M.E. Standard).

    Experience (Essential) : Candidates must be presently working in Power Distribution Sector
    with minimum one year work experience. Preference shall be given to the candidates presently
    engaged in CESU Distribution system. The experience as Apprentice Trainee will not be
    considered.


    3. Age:
    The candidate should be above 18 years of age and below 32 years of age as on
    01.07.2010
    . The upper age limit is relaxable in case of candidates presently engaged in CESU
    Distribution System.

    4. Vacancy :
    (A) Clerk - B (Trainee) - 102 Nos.
    (B) Stenographer Gr.-III (Trainee) - 05 Nos.

    5. Selection & Training :

    (A) Clerk - B (Trainee)
    - The eligible candidates shall be required to appear for the Written Test &
    Viva voce including Computer Proficiency Test at their own cost, the date and venue of which
    shall be intimated in due course. On selection, they shall be appointed as Clerk - B (Trainee) for
    a period of 3 ˝ years. During the training period, they shall be paid monthly stipend amount as
    under:
    (i) 1st Year - Rs.4,300/-,
    (ii) 2nd Year - Rs.4,700/-,
    (iii) 3rd Year - Rs.5,200/-,
    (iv) 4th Year (6 Months) - Rs.5,700/-
    On successful completion of training period, they will be taken as Clerk - B on probation with
    Pay Scale/Pay Band of Rs.5,200-20,200 plus grade pay of Rs.2,500/-with D.A, HRA & Medical
    Allowance and other benefits as per Rules of the Utility.

    (B) Stenographer Grade - III (Trainee)
    - The eligible candidates shall be required to appear for
    the Stenography Test & Viva voce at their own cost, the date and venue of which shall be
    intimated in due course. On selection, they shall be appointed as Stenographer Grade - III
    (Trainee) for a period of 3 ˝ years. During the training period, they shall be paid monthly
    stipend amount as under:
    (i) 1st Year - Rs.4,500/-,
    (ii) 2nd Year - Rs.4,950/-,
    (iii) 3rd Year - Rs.5,400/-,
    (iv) 4th Year (6 Months) - Rs.6,000/-
    On successful completion of training period, they will be taken as Stenographer Grade III on
    probation with Pay Scale/Pay Band of Rs.5,200-20,200 plus grade pay of Rs.2,800/-with D.A,
    HRA & Medical Allowance and other benefits as per Rules of the Utility.

    6. Procedure to Apply :
    Applications in the prescribed format neatly typed or hand written and
    duly filled in along with attested copies of certificates and mark sheets {starting from
    Matriculation on wards along with copy of certificate of passing Oriya Language test of ME
    standard (not applicable to the candidates who have passed Matriculation Examination with
    Oriya as one of the language papers)}, documents in support of relevant experience, along with
    Account Payee Bank Draft (non refundable) of Rs 250/- (Rupees two hundred fifty only ) drawn on
    a Scheduled Bank in favour of CESU, Bhubaneswar, payable at Bhubaneswar, two attested
    copies of recent passport size photographs(one to be pasted on the application form), two self
    addressed stamped (worth Rs.25/- each) envelopes (25 cms x 11 cms) should be addressed to

    ”. The candidate is required
    to write his full name on the reverse of Demand Draft .The envelope containing the application
    should be super-scribed on the top Post Applied for “Clerk - B (Trainee)” OR Post Applied
    for “Stenographer Gr-III(Trainee)
    ” as the case may be and submitted through ordinary post /
    hand delivery.

    7. Other Information :

    i. The Last Date of receipt of application is 13thAugust 2010.
    ii. The applications received after due date or in incomplete shape or without required
    enclosures or not in the prescribed format shall not be entertained.
    iii. Candidates who will qualify the Written Test/Stenography Test will only be called for viva-voce.
    iv. Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process or after
    recruitment or joining as Trainee / Probationer / Clerk - B / Stenographer Gr.-III, if any
    information provided by the candidate is found to be false or is not found to be in conformity
    with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
    v. The Management reserves the right to accept/reject any application on the basis of above
    criteria, to increase or decrease the number of positions advertised or cancel the entire
    recruitment process and to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Written Test /
    Interview, raising the eligibility standard.
