Applications are invited from qualified candidates for appointment to
the post of System Administrator in the University Computer Centre,
University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.
No. of vacancies : 2 (1-Reserved for SC)

Qualifications
General : First Class M.E/M.Tech Degree in Computer
Science/Computer Engineering after
attending a regular full time course recognized
by University of Kerala.
OR
First Class B.E/B.Tech Degree in Computer
Science & Engineering after attending a
regular full time course recognized by
University of Kerala.
OR
First Class MCA after attending a regular full
time course recognized by University of
Kerala.
OR
First Class M.Sc Computer Science after
attending a regular full time course recognized
by University of Kerala.
Technical : Knowledge in Computer Networks. DBMS,
Network Operating System and experience in
Software Development using Relational
Database Management System like
ORACLE/MSSQL Server in Networked
Environment desirable.
Age : Not more than 35 years as on 01.01.2010
Scale of pay : 10,790-280-11,910-340-13,610-380-16,650-
450-18,000
Fees : Cost of Application – Rs.350/-
Registration fee – Rs.500/-
(Rs.125/- for SC/ST Candidates)
The appointment will be in accordance with Section (6) Subsection (2)
of the Chapter 11 of the Kerala University Act 1974.

The Application Form shall be accompanied by annexure 1 (provided
along with this notification).
The request for application shall be accompanied by DD/Pay-in-slip in
support of remittance of the cost of application form specifying the post for
which application form is required and self addressed stamped envelope.
Mode of Remittance
(a) : Cost of application form and registration fee remitted by DD drawn
on SBT/District Co-operative Bank in favour of “The Finance
Officer, University of Kerala payable at Service Branch
Thiruvananthapuram and State Co-operative Bank, Head Office
Branch, Thiruvananthapuram respectively.
(b) : Postal Orders, Money Orders, Cheques and DDs from other Banks
and DD drawn on SBT, Kariavattom Branch will not be accepted.
(c) : Candidates residing outside the state may however, send DDs
drawn on SBI in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala,
payable at SBI Main Branch, Thiruvananthapuram.
(d) : Remittance towards the cost of application forms and registration
fee will also be accepted in Cash, by Chalan at the Kerala University
cash Counter, University Buildings, Thiruvananthapuram and also
at the FRIENDS COUNTERS at Palayam.
Completed Original application along with four (4) photocopies of filled
up application DD/Pay in Slip for the prescribed registration fee, passport
size photographs recently taken, attested copies of Certificates, testimonials
etc 5 (sets) should reach the
Deputy Registrar (Admn.II),
University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 034 on or before 16.08.2010
Candidates who are employed should forward their applications
through proper channel.
Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST are eligible for relaxation in upper
age limit as per existing rules.
Candidates belonging to OBC have to produce the certificate that they
do not belong to the Creamy layer, as contemplated in GO (A)
No.36/2000/SC/STDD dated 27.05.2000.
Candidates if required, should appear for an interview at
Thiruvananthapuram at their own expense.
