    1. Research Professor (3 Posts) – 2 UR, 1 OBC : Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000/-,
    Academic Grade Pay Rs. 10000/-
    Essential Qualifications
    : (i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in any branch
    of law and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence
    of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and / or research /
    policy papers.
    (ii) A minimum 10 years of teaching experience in university/college, and/ or
    experience in research at the University/ National Level institutions/ industries,
    including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
    (iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and
    technology – mediated teaching learning process.
    OR
    An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field who has
    made significant contribution to knowledge of law to be substantiated by credentials.

    2. Associate Research Professor (2 Posts) - 2 UR: Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100/-,
    Academic Grade Pay Rs. 8000/-
    Essential Qualifications
    : (i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in any branch
    of law.
    (ii) 55% of the marks, or equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed in the
    LL.M.
    (iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an
    academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/
    College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry excluding the period of Ph.D.
    research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books
    and / or research / policy papers.
    (iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and
    technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided
    doctoral candidates and research students.

    3. Assistant Research Professor (3 posts) - 1 UR, 1 SC, 1 OBC: Pay Band Rs. 15600-
    39100/-, Academic Grade Pay Rs. 6000/-
    Essential Qualifications
    : Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or
    equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Master’s degree level LL.M.
    from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign
    university.
    (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates should have cleared the
    National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test
    accredited by the UGC like SLET/ SET.
    (iii) Holders of Ph.D. degree are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

    4. Assistant Librarian (1 Post)-UR: Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100/-, Academic Grade
    Pay Rs. 6000/-
    Essential Qualifications
    : i) Masters degree in Library Science / Information Science /
    Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks
    or its equivalent grade where grading system is practiced and a consistently good
    academic record with knowledge on computerization of library.
    ii) Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like
    SLET/SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other
    agency approved by the UGC.
    (iii) Holders of Ph.D. degree in Library Science / Information Science /
    Documentation Science are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
    Desirable :
    Degree in Law.

    5. Assistant Controller of Examination (1 Post)-UR: Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100/-,
    Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
    Essential Qualifications
    : i) A Master’s Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent grade
    from recognized university. ii) 5 years Administration/ Academic experience relating
    to conduct and evaluation of university examination or institution of higher education
    etc.
    Desirable :
    Persons with LL.B. Degree and knowledge of computerization of
    examination system will be given preference.

    6. Accounts Officer (1 Post)-UR: Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100/-, Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
    Essential Qualifications
    : A Master’s Degree in Commerce with 55% Marks/ CA/
    ICWA/ MBA (Finance) with minimum five years experience of maintenance and audit
    of accounts etc. in a reputed Educational Institutions/ Universities/ Central /State
    Government’s Departments/ Autonomous Bodies etc. from reputed institutes /
    universities with good academic record.
    Desirable
    : Persons with experience of computerization of Accounts will be given
    preference.

    7. Computer System Administrator (1 Post) - UR: Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100/-,
    Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
    Essential Qualifications:
    BE (Computer Engineering/IT) / MCA with atleast 55%
    marks and minimum of 5 years experience of management of hardware & software
    devices, Digital library and website design, knowledge of windows and Linux
    platform, ability to implement network security, firewall, routers etc.

    8. Editorial Assistant (1 Post) - UR: Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800, Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-
    Essential Qualifications:
    Bachelor degree in English and LL.B. from a recognized
    University/ Institution & must have knowledge of computer with experience of editing
    legal documents.

    9. Library Assistant (1 Post) - UR: Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800, Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-
    Essential Qualifications:
    Graduation with Degree/ Diploma in Library Science from a
    recognized University.
    Desirable:
    Knowledge of Computer Applications in a Library and experience of
    atleast one year in a reputed library.

    10. Junior Library Assistant (Grade - I) (3 Posts) - 1 SC, 1 UR, 1 PH: Pay Scale:
    Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
    Essential Qualifications:
    Graduation with Certificate Course in Library Science from
    a recognized University/ Institution. Must have knowledge of English and computers.
    Desirable:
    Experience of restoration of documents in a Library in a computerized
    environment. Knowledge of Library Software.
    All posts carry admissible allowances as per rules applicable to the ILI.
    Age:-
    Research Professor, preferably below 60 years. The age limit for Associate Research
    Professors, Assistant Research Professors, Assistant Librarian, Assistant Controller of
    Examination, Accounts Officer & Computer System Administrator is preferably below 45
    years and for Editorial Assistant, Library Assistant and Junior Library Assistant (Grade - I)
    preferably below 40 years.
    The age of superannuation for the members of regular faculty is 62 years and for others is 60
    years as per existing Service Bye-Laws of the Institute.
    Institute reserve the right to short-list applicants in any manner as may be considered
    appropriate with the approval of competent authority.
    Candidates having the required qualifications & experience can also be considered for
    appointment on deputation / contract for teaching and non-teaching posts.
    The Faculty may be engaged on “contract basis” upto age of 65 years on a consolidated salary
    to be decided by the Competent Authority.

    Faculty positions are required for research/ teaching of LL.M & Post Graduate diploma
    courses in the area of Comparative Jurisprudence, Judicial Process, Comparative
    Constitutional Law, International Trade Law, Legal Research Methodology & writing skill,
    Intellectual Property Rights Law, Cyber Law, Environmental Law, Judicial Administration,
    Criminal Law, Human Rights Law & Corporate Law etc.
    Candidates not found suitable for higher positions can be considered for lower positions in the
    same category/ area of specialization.
    Candidates who applied in response to earlier advertisements issued in the year 2008 are
    required to apply afresh.

    Application fee of Rs. 350/- (non-refundable) (SC/ST are exempted from payment of fees) in
    the form of Bank Draft in favour of Indian Law Institute, payable at Delhi is required to be
    submitted along with the application form.
    The institute has taken every care that the content of this employment notification are correct.
    However, in case of any change/ modification/ error comes to the notice of the Institute, the
    same will be notified subsequently, if required.
