SE-CAD has an immediate need for an experienced Piping Engineer who can also handle Detailed Project Engineering functions, for a field assignment in Pune, India. The position could be either permanent or contract based on candidate qualifications.

Responsibilities :
Candidate should have a diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in the design and management of various small capital and maintenance projects in an operating petrochemicals facility. Will be responsible for the engineering design, cost, scheduling and performance objectives of assigned projects.

Qualifications :
** Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
** Strong technical background and ability t0 effectively lead a multi-discipline team.
** Some experience of working in an Operating Plant environment preferred.
** Some Project Engineering/Management experience preferred.
** Ability to work in a team with all levels of people, both internal and external to the organization.
** Excellent analytical and computer skills.
** Strong oral and written communication skills.

Work functions may include the following :
Preliminary Design :
** Conceptual design/feasibility studies.
** Perform techno-economic evaluations.
** Prepare design basis document with input from all concerned disciplines.

Detailed Design :
** Develop detailed scope of work, design basis document and project execution plan.
** Prepare cost estimates and project schedules.
** Participate in facility start-up and commissioning activities.
** Provide engineering support during construction.
