KOLKATA PORT TRUST
 1. Kolkata Port Trust intends to recruit 15 Trainee pilots at Kolkata Dock
 system for which applications are invited from candidates in possession of any of
 the following certificate of competencies issued by the Director General of
 Shipping, Government of India.
 a. Master(FG)
 b. 1st Mates(FG)
 c. 2nd Mates(FG)
 d. B. Sc. Nautical Science
 e. Dredge Master-Grade-1
 f. Dredge Master- Grade-II
 g. Dredge Mate- Grade-1

 2. The candidates will join as “Trainee Pilots” and on successful completion of
 the prescribed training schedule, they would be adjusted against regular vacancies
 of “Pilots” in the pay scale of Rs. 14500-350-18700 (due for revision w.e.f.
 01.1.2007) except for those candidates in possession of Master (FG) certificates
 who would directly join at bottom of pilots’ scale i.e. Rs. 14500-350-18700. The
 gross salary after qualifying as pilot is likely to be approx. Rs. 60000/-which is
 inclusive of Marine allowances and overtime. The incumbents in addition to their
 emoluments will also be entitled to LTC, Leave Encashment, Gratuity, Non-
 Contributory Provident Fund, and medical facilities for self and family. During the
 training period the incumbents, except those in possession of Master (FG)
 certificates will be paid a consolidated monthly remuneration as follows:
Master (FG)/Dredge Master-Grade-1
 Join at the bottom of regular pay scale of Rs. 14500-350-18700 (due for revision w.e.f.
 01.1.2007) which will be at least Rs. 40000/- per month in the pre-revised scale.

1st Mates(FG)/ Dredge Master- Grade II 35,000/-

2nd Mates(FG)/ B. Sc. Nautical Science/Dredge Mate-Grade 1 30,000/-

 3. Number of vacancies-15 [ SC- 2 , ST-2 , OBC- 3 ]

 4. AGE LIMIT : Not exceeding 45 years as on 1.8.2010.

 5. The candidates will have to execute a bond that they would serve the port at
 least for a period of 5 years on qualifying as a pilot.

 6. Mode of application : Application in plain paper furnishing detailed bio-data
 including name, date of birth, permanent address, mobile and residential
 telephone numbers, address for communication, nationality, whether
 SC/ST/OBC, whether belong to minority community, educational and
 professional qualification, experience and any other relevant information
 with two recent passport size photographs should be submitted in sealed
 envelop superscribed “Application for the post of Trainee Pilots at Kolkata
Dock System” to the

Kolkata – 700 001.
Photocopies of caste, educational and
 professional qualification certificates should be submitted with the
 application. Last date of receipt of applications is 20th August, 2010.
