MID DAY MEAL PROGRAMME

REQUIREMENT OF CONSULTANTS / RESEARCH ASSISTANT ON CONTRACT
The National Programme of Nutritional Support to Primary Education (NSPE), popularly known as the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, is one of the major initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to achieve Universalisation of Elementary Education in the country. With the extension of Mid-Day Meal Programme to Upper Primary Stage, Mid-Day Meal Programme is now one of the flagships Programme of Govt. of India. This Programme, therefore, requires close monitoring and evaluation through internal and external monitoring, supervision, guidance, and integration of various activities at all levels based on the advise of experts in the area of Planning, Monitoring, Supervision, Evaluation, Impact Studies, Documentation, Nutrition, Inclusive Education for Children, Media etc.
A National Support Group to support the Scheme has been established under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) by EdCIL (India) Limited to perform these vital tasks. EdCIL wishes to engage the services of highly experienced and qualified professionals as Consultants and Research Assistants for National Support Group, purely on contract basis, to undertake assignments in the following areas:

1. Consultant (Plan Monitoring) (One Post)
2. Consultant (Finance) (One Post)
3 Consultant (Management Information System) (One Post)
4 Research Assistants (MIS) (One Post)

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Engagement of Consultants and Research Assistant will be on full time basis and their place of work will be in Delhi.
2. The envelope should be superscribed with the name of the position applied in block letters.
3. The work of consultants and Research Assistants involves providing relevant technical support and assistance at National and State Levels with extensive travel, documentation and communication skills.


4. Experience and qualification may be relaxed in case of candidates otherwise found possessing adequate work experience in the related fields/disciplines.
5. SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates should enclose attested photocopy of the caste certificate issued by Competent Authority.
6. Candidates working in Government organization/ PSE must route their application through proper channel if there department rule requires.
7. The age limits for Consultant not more than 70 years and for Research Assistant not more than 35 years as on 1.7.2010.
8. Upper age limit in the case of Research Assistant is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
9. Physically handicapped candidates with disability not less than 40% shall be eligible for age relaxation by 5 years in the case of Research Assistant.
10. Only Indian Nationals are eligible for applying.
11. Application received after due date will out rightly be rejected.
12. Merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle candidate to be called for interview/ short listing.
13. Applications which are incomplete, unsigned will be rejected summarily.
14. The range of remuneration for the posts of consultants and Research Assistant is given below. The remuneration to be offered for these posts will be within the given range, commensurate with the qualifications and experience of an individual candidate:
(a) Consultant - Rs. 20,000/- to 34,000/- per month
(b) Research Assistant - Rs. 11,300/- to 22,700/- per month
15. The above ranges of the Consultancy fee / Remuneration are on consolidated basis and are inclusive of all allowances etc.
