ADVERTISEMENT NO. NFC/01/2010

Applications are invited for the following posts from the eligible candidates in Nuclear Fuel
Complex, Hyderabad, an industrial establishment under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The
selected candidates will be posted at Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad or at Zirconium
Complex, (a unit of NFC, Hyderabad) at Pazhayakayal, Tuticorin Dist, Tamilnadu or in any
other constituent units of the Department of Atomic Energy spread over the country. The
details of posts (including the posts specified for meritorious sports persons) and the eligibility criteria
for these posts are as specified below:-

1. Scientific Officer / C – Male (Medical General Duty) – 2.
2. Male Nurse / A – 3.
3. Station Officer / A – 1.
4. Sub Officer B1 – 5.
5. Leading Fireman / A – 06.
6. Driver Cum Operator / A – 3.
7. Fireman / A – 14.
8. Stipendiary Trainee Category I – 25.
9. Stipendiary Trainee Category II – 145.

HOW TO APPLY :
FILL UP ALL COLUMNS OF THE APPLICATION FORM CAREFULLY.
1. The application in the prescribed format as given below, preferably typewritten on A4 size paper
(30 cms X 21 cms) should be submitted and outer cover should be superscribed “Application for
the post of _______________ under Category No.______” against “Advertisement No.
NFC/01/2010”. Separate application should be submitted for each post, if a candidate wishes to
apply for more than one post. Only one application should be enclosed in one cover.
Ex : In case anyone applies for the post of “Attendant/A”, the outer cover should be superscribed
as “ Application for the post of “Attendant/A” under Category No. 6 (a) against advertisement
No. NFC/01/2010”

2. Photograph :
A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the right top corner of the application.
One additional copy of passport size photograph should also be sent along with the application.

3. Copies of certificates :
Candidates should submit along with their application, attested copies of certificates (a)
Educational qualifications and technical qualifications supported by appropriate marks
sheets and experience certificate. (b) Date of birth (c) Certificates issued by the
competent authorities in the latest format prescribed by the Government regarding their
claim that they belong to SC/ST/OBC (d) Candidates belonging to OBC should furnish
the caste certificate in the prescribed format of the Department of Personnel and Training OM
dated 02.07.1997 to the effect that they are not in the Creamy Layer failing which
their claim for OBC will not be accepted. (e) Candidates belonging to OBC should also
submit a declaration in the prescribed form (f) Discharge certificate from Defence (applies to
ex- defence personnel only). Copies of certificates should be attached to the application by
stapling/tagging with thread. Applications which are not in the prescribed format and without
attested copies of certificates will be summarily rejected.

NOTE :
4. i) Persons working under the Central/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings should
submit their applications through proper channel. They may, however, send one advance
copy of the application along with enclosures as detailed above and in that case the candidates
have to submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their present employer at the time of appearing
for written test/interview or otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for written
test/interview.
ii) Completed applications in the prescribed format should be sent to the Assistant
Personnel Officer, Recruitment-I, Nuclear Fuel Complex, ECIL Post, Hyderabad – 500
062 so as to reach within three weeks from the date of publication of advertisement
in Employment News. Applications received beyond this date will be rejected.

5. Warning :
Application which is illegible, incomplete, unsigned, not in prescribed format, without photo of
candidate, not enclosing attested Xerox copy of certificates is liable to be rejected. If the post
applied for is not indicated on the top of the envelope & the application, the same will
not be entertained.

6. Short listing :
Mere fulfillment of requirements as laid down in the advertisement does not entitle a
candidate to be called for written examination/interview. In case the response is more, the
screening will be restricted to those with higher percentage of marks and experience
wherever prescribed by the Competent Authority in NFC. The shortlisted candidates will be
called for in the ratio of 1 : 20 to shortlist the number of candidates to be called for
written examination / interview and all those having lesser percentage of marks may
not be called for written test/ interview. No correspondence in this regard will be
entertained.

7. Only such of those candidates who in the opinion of NFC, suit the organisational requirements,
will be called for written test / interview. Advertisement of a post and / or mere fulfillment of
minimum prescribed qualifications, etc., will not vest any right in any candidate for being
considered for the post and / or called for interview.

8. NFC reserves the right to fill up the post or alter the number of posts or even to cancel the
whole process of recruitment without assigning any reasons.
