 Applications are invited by the Director, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry, from the Indian Nationals to fill up the post of Senior Resident on regular basis:-
(Tenure: 3 years)

Senior Resident - 194 Posts

Pay : The candidates with Postgraduate Medical Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India will be paid Rs.18750/-Plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/- (Revised) and other usual allowancesper month in the first year of his/her residency.

Age: Below 33 years

Instructions:

1. (a) Application along with checklist should be submitted in the prescribed Proforma as in the specimen given below. It should be neatly typed on A4 size paper. The duly filled in application along with check list and attested copies of necessary certificates as stated above should reach the Office of the Director, Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry – 605 006 within 20 days from the date of publication.

(b) In respect of applications received (by post only) from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi sub division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, A & N islands or Lakshadweep, the last date for receipt of applications is 27 days from the first date of publication. The benefit of extension of time will be available, only if, the applications received by post. In the case of applications received by hand or through courier service, benefit of extension of time will not be available regardless of the place of residence of the applicant.

 Candidates who are claiming the benefit of extended time should clearly indicate in a separate sheet duly authenticated by their signature, the name of the particular area or region (e.g. Assam, Meghalaya, J& K etc), from where they have posted their application. In case, they fail to do so, the benefit of extended time will not be allowed to them.

 2. Application cover should be super scribed as “ Application for the Post of Senior Resident for the Department / Discipline of___________________________ “

3. Candidates should remit Rs.500/- (General/OBC) and Rs.250/- (SC/ST) by means Demand Draft in favour of Accounts Officer, JIPMER, Puducherry – 605006 Payable at SBI ,JIPMER (Code No.2238)
4. If already employed in Central /State Government /Public Sector undertaking, the application should be routed through proper channel. However, an advance copy of the application may be sent.

 5. THE CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED NOT TO BRING ANY POLITICAL OR OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS TO INFLUENCE THEIR SELECTION. SUCH CANDIDATES WILL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED.

General instructions:

Applications received after the due date will not be accepted and will stand rejected. Only eligible candidates will be called for Interview for Senior Resident. Incomplete applications and unsigned applications will be summarily rejected. This Institute will not be responsible for any postal delay.
