    Essential Qualification
    : M.Sc. or equivalent with 60% aggregate marks(55% marks for SC/ST) in any branch of Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Chemistry with UGC/CSIR/ICMR-NET/DBT with fellowship or (NET-LS) without fellowship are eligible to apply

    Emoluments
    : Rs.12, 000/- per month (fixed) with HRA @ 20% as admissible in the Institute.

    Upper age limit
    : 28 years

    Title : Worked on the project titled “Antimicrobial potential of various
    Herbal plants on clinical pathogens” as a part of Msc degree.
    Description : This work deals with investigating the antimicrobial activities of seven plant extracts and two essential oils. Aqueous, ethanolic and acetone extracts of the plants Emblica officinalis, Eugenia jambolana, Lawsonia alba, Mentha arvensis, Piper Nigrum, Zingiber Officinale, Carica papaya, and the essential oil Syzygium aromaticum oil, and Tea tree oil were tested invitro against 10 pathogenic cultures by the agar cup diffusion method. The pathogens used were Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, and Proteus mirabilis isolated from patients with urinary tract infections, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi A, Salmonella paratyphi B from patients with gastrointestinal tract infections and Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans from patients with skin infections.
