• GSM Abis, A and Uu interface signaling .
• Good view on various interfaces and the physical / logical / transport channels.
• Good understanding of GERAN Functionality - BSC/BTS, Transcoder sub-system functionalities.
• In depth understanding of Abis, A, Gb and Uu interface protocol procedures.
• In depth understanding of GSM Radio Interface and Channel structure.

• This involves addressing endian issues, system call migrations, packaging issues, build issues, 3rd party tool compatibility issues.

Design of Smart Card using VHDL program :
This project aims at developing a smart card, which is programmed using VHSIC Hardware description language for greater security. VHDL is stored into VHDL IC. The card is interfaced with PC using ADD-ON card. The user can enter his details into PC, which are then compared with the data in smart card using ‘C’ program.
