Job Summary :
As a Software Engineer you will work as part of a team responsible for participating in the development, testing and debugging of operating systems and file systems that run NetApp storage applications. As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market. Software engineers focus on enhancements to existing products as well as new product development.

Job Summary :

Test Infrastructure (smoke Infrastructure) S/W Engineer.

** As an Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership/mentorship to the sanity checker team.
** You will be responsible for maintenance and development of the infrastructure (new features, bug fixes, etc.,)
** As a key member of the Test Infrastructure team, you will participate in the triage and debugging of issues encountered with both the internal automatic regression testing and pre-check-in developer testing tools.
** You will use your excellent debugging skills to assist users (Data ONTAP developers) in finding a root cause for their test failures.
** You will be responsible for the automated regression test scheduler, as well as the hardware on which it runs.
** You will be responsible for the environment which enables both Data ONTAP and test developers to validate their changes prior to check-in.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent debugging skills, experience with Linux/UNIX administration, storage knowledge, and the ability to install and configure lab equipment

Requirements :
** Experience with SAN/Disk Storage, RAID, Clustering, Protocols (NFS, CIFS, etc.,)
** Operating Systems Internals (Solaris, HPUX, AIX, and Linux) – Hands on experience highly desirable.
** PERL, CGI, Javascript, HTML, C
** Oracle DB, SQL, desired

Education :
5+ years experience in software, of which at least 5+ years must be in a software testing teams with a successful track record of delivering high quality products/releases on time.
Education and Experience Education & Experience :
** A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred.
** A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a Master Degree; or equivalent experience is required.
** Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
