    Overview : This is a challenging position which includes developing, maintaining and executing test plans, as well as, carrying out functional and regression testing on all of IONīs products.

    Location : New Delhi, London, Pisa

    Qualifications : Six months exposure to testing software/Web applications and preparing test scripts in a commercial environment, ideally in financial markets (bonds and derivatives) and/or in a graduate placement. Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and UNIX. Excellent English language skills (verbal and written).

    Vista 3.0 (Vodafone Intranet and Shared Team Applications) is the Vodafone internal e-services delivery Portal. It is a global intranet platform for Vodafone and its operating companies. Vista enables to communicate and collaborate on a global scale independent of location of the employees and to benefit from jointly developed processes and applications.
    This application consists of mainly 3 modules :
    VIM (User Management System) - This module manages Roles, Responsibility, and Permissions. The Users list is provisioned from Vodafone's directory service called as vCDS. Based on groups and accounts, the users are again provisioned to the Target Systems (CMA and Portal) with the corresponding Permissions. Business Groups Management, Functional Group Management, Access Policies and Rules Management are the core sub modules of VIM.
    CMA (Content Management System) - This module allows Content Editors and Approvers to Publish Contents on various Portals. Contents pass through various life cycles from Create, Approval Workflow, Publish, Live, Expire and Delete. Asset Management, Content Life Cycle, Workflows, Folder Management are the core sub modules of CMA.
    Portal (Portlet Management System) - Portal is the end-users interface with the application. Portal interacts with CMA to fetch and display contents based on various, rules, roles, permissions etc. Page Management, Portlet Management, NAP, Professional Communities, Application Portlets, Staging are the core sub modules of Portal.
    All three modules are 3rd party components which are customized and integrated in Sapient. Other than the development, the project also covers the migration of various components (Pages, Portlets, Contents, Folders, Permissions, Applications, and Links etc) from the older version to the current one. The other areas include the App-Framework and the Infrastructure setup.
    QA is in charge of validating the release of the build to the Staging environment for all functional components. Later, UAT is performed on the Production Environment by Vodafone. QA's main area of testing includes Functional, Automation, Performance, Migration and Operational Acceptance.
