Job Description:
Test Lead will be responsible for automation of Mainframe applications using Compuware tool. This position may require travel to US. Being a highly responsible position, he/she will be required periodically to work extended hours. There is excellent growth opportunity for candidates that prove themselves.

Top Activities and Responsibilities:

•Provide leadership to the software testing team
•Develop and execute software testing project plans, and manage schedules and resource allocation
•Actively manage projects on a day to day basis to ensure that project outputs are being delivered on schedule and to the required quality
•Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple types of testing
•Manage scope and mitigate risk across projects
•Develop and maintain relationships with both external and internal clients, support the management to develop new opportunities where appropriate
•Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan
•Manage the execution of software testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates
•Implement/Adhere to test metrics and defect prevention
•Coordinate and execute testing, create test plans, scripts, bug tracking, etc.

Total years of experience:6 to 8 years

Education Desired/Required: Degree (Bachelors, Masters, etc);
•Bachelor’s degree from a top rated institute; MBA / Computer Science / Engineering preferred
•Excellent academic track record and grades

Type of experience required:
•Minimum of 6 years of software testing experience, to include a minimum of 2 years in a lead role
•Strong analytical skills and communication skills
•Should have worked more than 3 years in mainframe applications testing directly / using emulators
•Should have worked in automation of mainframe applications using Compuware tool minimum of 2 years
•Should have work exposure on using frameworks for automation
•Working knowledge on REXX (REstructured eXtended eXecutor) is an advantage
•Excellent problem solving, interpersonal skills a must
•Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner
•Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability
•Strong understanding of software development life cycle
•Must have experience in managing and working with distributed team members
•Knowledge of any other automation test tools is a plus
•Good understanding of testing process
