Responsibilities: About the Job
This position is responsible for the support of all production aspects of www.akamai.com, Akamai’s Intranet sites, and Akamai’s Partner Extranet, as well as for the building, sending, and tracking of targeted email campaigns. Responsibilities include front-end site development, content management, regularly updating assets (collateral, reports, images), and building out new content areas. She/he will be expected to provide support for other online Marketing initiatives, including customer newsletters and online advertisements.

Responsibilities
* Support for the day-to-day operation and content management of akamai.com, intranet sites, and partner extranet.
* Manage detailed email campaign system, which will involve building and sending of html emails, tracking results, and using those results to update the contact database and to prepare future mailing lists.
* Support of distributed content publishing including press releases, job descriptions, collateral.
* Implement design features and modify Web page layouts, as marketing needs change.
* Production of other online initiatives, including landing pages and automated response mechanisms for email campaigns, online advertisements, electronic newsletters, to meet marketing and corporate communication objectives.
* Tactically execute marketing and communications strategies with internal team.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's Degree.
* Overall Experience: 3-4 years

Desired Qualifications
* 3-4 years experience with all aspects of Web site administration.
* Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, (and PhotoShop). Knowledge of other advanced coding languages helpful.
* Experience with building and managing html email campaigns preferable.
* Experience with content management systems, particularly Plone, a plus.
* Strong understanding of how the Web site functions in relation to marketing and marketing programs.
* Proficient with business-related communication applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to work North America EST business hours.
