Responsibilities

- In-process stage inspection as per applicable SQP (Standard Quality Plan) and approved QAP (Quality Assurance Plan), ITP (Inspection and test plan):
- Raw material inward inspection and TC Verification with respect to the standards
- Fit-up stage inspection with reference to approved drawings (orientation, angles, clearance etc.)
- Preheating temperature ensuring before starting of welding (if required)
- Monitoring the backing system for welding consumables and pre-heating and inter pass temperature of welds
- DPT test after root run of the weld and after completion of welding
- SR monitoring with respect to the SR chart (if applicable, soaking time temp ensured with respect to standards)
- Ultrasonic test witnessing for the weld joints as per QAP and standards
- Final trail assembly of columns and ceiling griders : checking blue matching surface, overall length variation, water level ,plumb out, square out,diagonals,holes pitch diameter , orientation ect as per drawings.
- Reviewing of radiography films and acceptances as per norms and standards
- Hydro test witnessing at 1.5 times the working pressure as per approved drawings
- Blasting profile checking before panting (checking profile thickness, humidity of air etc.)
- Painting DFT checking and pre dispatch inspections like container loading, hooking etc.

Additional Qualifications

ASNT Level - II certified in:

- Radiography test
- Ultrasonic test
- Penetrant test
- Magnetic particles test

Project Management

Apart from quality inspection, I have project management experience. Project management experience includes:

- Raw material availability status monitoring (solving the material inward receipt) and communicating non-availability of material to material in charge
- Coordination with production in charge and solving any problem regarding the production, and make them finish the product within time frame
- Coordination with engineering design department for any approval of drawings and revision of the same
- Coordination with quality control department and making them correct if any irrelevance is found on the job
- Coordination with shipping department for arranging vehicles for dispatch, material loading and dispatch the material
- Expediting job status and communicating to the customers
