Job Description
The incumbent works as part of a strong virtual team to provide for the ongoing operation of Ernst & Young's internal Global Metadata Management System (GMMS). Members of the Global Metadata Management Team enable end-user access to the firm's internal knowledge resources, and work with content owners and stewards to ensure appropriate access to resources through the Ernst & Young intranet and other internal knowledge tools and applications.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
1. Review Delivery Management System (DMS) on a daily basis for new and updated content:
- Add new content to Global Catalog
- Update existing Global Catalog content
- Research draft content
- Publish draft content
- Archive published content according to archiving schedule
2. New iweb request messages from DNS Name Registration dbase
3. Prepare and disseminate metric and other informational reports related to various aspects of GMMS functionality.
4. Interact effectively with members of other Ernst & Young knowledge and information technology teams whose activities require coordination with GMMS.
Job Requirements
1. Educational background:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- A Master's degree in Library or Information Science is preferred

Previous work experience:
- Approximately 1-3 years of relevant business experience desirable
- Experience with metadata management, indexing, or cataloging in a knowledge management or library setting preferred
