ORGANIZATIONAL EXPOSURE:

In NYT container glass production department.

Assessments : Assessing needs of production demand and accordingly carrying out viable machine operation after considering technical aspects. Performing the functions of preventive maintenance and taking adequate steps to ensure production with optimum efficiency with out disturbing machine run.
Speed Increase Kaizen project : I have participated in kaizen project to increase the speed of all the running machines by making necessary changes and modification in machine as well as all ancillaries related to machine like mould equipments, all type of utilities like, gas pressure, air pressure, soft water for plunger cooling temp. and pressure. Etc.
A. Down time : I tried to minimise the down time of machine at the time of job change. Previously it take around 1-2 hrs. For job change and for mould and plunger condition, it takes around 1 hr. Now we make all requirements ready day before job change and we preheating the moulds so that we can have mould condition immediately after starting our job. Now we spend just 20 minutes for job change.
B. New assignments : Now in shift duties we have some new assignments to do like labour administration, maintenance of machines and annealing lehr control etc. we try to make preventive maintenance of all machines in shift duties and try to minimise labour requirements.
C. Achievements : By decreasing down time at the time of job change and increase in speed of the machines now we get the success to make our routine production at least 1.5 times than before (i.e. around 1 yr.). In shift duties if there may be any accident in our plant with any body I have to give him first aid treatment and if required, send them to the hospital with proper documentation and if required any person with them.
