AIMA is looking for a very senior person, part of the Core Team of the Top Management, reporting directly to the Director General. Completely responsible for managing and strengthening the Special Events . The person should be able to interact / respond to office bearers of AIMA, CEO’s ,Membership and senior Government officials.
[LIST=1][*]To be responsible for providing executive leadership and management of the Special Events division team in AIMA.[*]Drive AIMA’s profile building / brand building events while ensuring their profitability and potential for revenue generation.[*]Direct the departments overall marketing and strategic planning programs, communications. Conceptualisation of appropriate special events.[*]Facilitate development of sound business relationships and partnerships through networking with sponsors ( to generate revenue), corporates (to build credibility), promote AIMAs relationships with the Govt and Event partners ( for both revenue generation and branding ).[*]Liaising with International bodies to develop specialized events[*]Identify key business issues and market trends to facilitate identification of potential event topics, new operational areas and new business opportunities.[*]Identify vendors and negotiate services and rates with them. Efficient vendor management to ensure the service levels are as per the agreed standards.[*] Prepare budgets and deliver agreed targets for income and profile of the event[*]Work on proposals for tie ups in events; participate in planning and presentation sessions.[*]Proactively understand and meet requirements of all stakeholders in the best possible manner to achieve high-level customer satisfaction.[*] Post event processing and settlement of the invoices.[*]Post event reconcilement of the accounts and ensuring that all receivables are collected and there are no outstandings.[*]Lead the marketing efforts to achieve revenue targets through achievement of conference delegate targets and sponsorship deals.[*]Strategise marketing plans and supervise the delegate promotion, delegate acquisition and response management activities.[*]Manage production of marketing collaterals, literature and documentation like brochures, posters, advertisements, mailers, book of presentations, websites etc.[*]Strategic planning including event positioning, market and competitive analysis, target audience segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning[*]Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environment.[*]Good understanding of brand[*]Effective public speaking skills and presence.[*]Capacity to assume more significant executive responsibilities over time.[/LIST]

The All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India and Industry in 1957. AIMA is a group- a body to pool management thoughts in the country, a forum to develop a national managerial ethos, an orgnisation to facilitate the furtherance of the management profession in the country.
AIMA is a federation of Local Management Associations (LMAs). AIMA today affiliates 58 LMAs across the country and two Co-operating management associations i.e. Qatar Indian Management Association and Mauritius Management Association.
