GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The candidate shall have a minimum of 10 to 15 years experience in the execution of EPC or turnkey
projects related to the Oil & Gas and/or Power Industry with both design office and site experience.
This is a senior discipline role and the candidate shall have extensive experience working in the field
of industrial instrumentation & controls. The candidate shall have strong communication skills and
technical knowledge to support other discipline engineers within his department in the f ield of
Instrumentation & Controls.
The candidate shall report directly to the Lead Discipline Instrumentation & Controls Engineer.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
** Excellent speaking / writing knowledge of English language.
** Degree in instrumentation and control engineering.
** Self motivated.
** Middle East experience.
** Computer literacy – must have excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS
Access. Be able to produce reports, specifications, schedules and calculation notes etc in a given
agreed structured and presentable format.
** Ability to work within a multi-discipline engineering team and to be able execute and co-ordinate
inter-discipline engineering checks.
** Must have ability to manage and co-ordinate a small group of engineers, designers and CAD
operators in relation to guiding, checking of technical quality and organising work activities to
meet projects / proposals deadlines.
** Good communication skills – be able to communicate proficiently with Clients, Contractors and
Vendors with regards to all instrumentation & control related activities on behalf of Company.
** Ability to execute all works inline with Client and Company HSE and QA policy & procedures.
** In-depth knowledge of principles / theory of field instrumentation and control engineering.
** Sound understanding of international codes & standards.
** Ability to develop control functional design specifications, control narratives, functional logic
diagrams and graphic philosophy specifications.
** Ability to develop cause & effect diagrams from process C&E or existing relay wiring schematics.
** Ability to develop technical procurement specifications for control systems, system panels &
equipment, field instrumentation, local panel design, cables and bulk materials.
** Ability to carry out technical evaluations / adjudications / vendor document review & approvals
for instrumentation & control equipment covering control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC’s), field
instrumentation and bulk materials.
** Ability to develop instrumentation detailed engineering deliverables related to the Oil & Gas
projects.
** Good experience in development of control schematics, control philosophy and motor control
systems.
** Experience of participating within HAZOP studies from a controls aspect.
Experience of participating within safety integrity level (SIL) studies.
** Sound appreciation and ability to understand and co-ordinate the engineering & design interfaces
with other disciplines such as process, mechanical & piping, civil & structural electrical & power
and telecommunications.
** Good experience in Vendor factory acceptance testing (FAT) of capital instrumentation equipment
such as control systems and field instrumentation equipment.
** Good experience of site technical support in terms of construction mechanical completion and
technical pre-commissioning support to site construction / commissioning teams.

PREFERENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
** Experience of SHELL DEP and / or BP standards.
** Hands-on experience of INtools.

Project Details : This project is being executed by Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), Hyderabad. It involves 56 pumping stations and has two phases; Madanpalli (35 pumping stations) and Madakasira (18 pumping stations). This scheme has been envisaged to lift and irrigate water to 602500 acres of land. The project has facility of communication between site-to-site and main control station to avoid flooding of water. VSAT is used for wireless communication.
Project Involvement : Floating enquiry, technical discussions and bidding, system designing, operation philosophy, list of instruments, IO list, system architecture for PLC, time design and execution of water conveyer system, instrument range and set point selection, cable schedule for instrumention.

2) Rajiv Sagar Lift Irrigation Project, Dummugudem, Andhra Pradesh
Project Details : This project is being executed by Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), Hyderabad. It involves 7 pumping stations. This scheme is envisaged with UHF, radio and voice communication system and VSAT for backup purpose.
Project Involvement : Floating enquiry, technical discussions and bidding, system designing, operation philosophy, list of instruments, IO list, system architecture for PLC, time design and execution of water conveyer system, instrument range and set point selection, cable schedule for instrumention.
3) Kutch Ignite Circular Water System, Bhuj
Project Details : This project is being executed by Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), Pune. This project is designed for cooling of condenser and consists of 1 pumping station and 6 cooling towers.
Project Involvement : System designing, operation philosophy, list of instruments, IO list, instrument range and set point selection, and cable schedule for instrumention.
4) Pulikanuma Lift Irrigation System., Andhra Pradesh
Project Details : This project is being executed by Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), Hyderabad. It involves 2 pumping stations and has two stages.
