- Working in Nokia Siemens Networks as a Transmission Planning Engineer, working for Vodafone Network in Karnataka Circle from Aug 2007 to till date.
Responsibilities :
- MW Link Survey - Responsible for carrying out LOS Survey for MW Links of New Sites, Fill in Sites, Backbone sites.
- Topographic Map Study for the planning of Long distance MW hops and contour study before finalizing the repeater locations for Long distance MW hops.
- Planning and providing support for the implementation of different protection
Schemes for MW hop to achieve the maximum uptime of Transmission
networks.
- Analysis of path condition using NETACT Planner and Global Mapper and deciding the Antenna Heights, Frequency, Antenna diameter and Interference Calculation using the same.
- Microwave Transmission SDH Planning for backbone 7GHz and 15 GHz Links.
- Plan a SDH Abis Loop as well as Ater Loop for New BSC’s, giving trail details for new sites, rerouted sites, Cabinet expansion sites and for new BSC’s.
- Providing Multipath protection on MW/OFC for MSC-BSC’s connectivity.
- MUX equipment planning as well as card planning as per traffic requirements at various nodes, cut-over existing sites and rerouting for effective network management.
- Releasing the Link budget, E1 routing and trail details for rollout sites to projects.
- Maintaining transmission site data base and release TX plan for new sites.
- Releasing the optimization plans based on Interference analysis, high-low conflict analysis of mw links over Net Act Tool for network optimization.
- Protection of the cell sites using SDH protections by making the SDH rings in the city.
- Metro HUB planning to provide the protection till the end sites on SPUR connectivity to achieve maximum uptime of the sites.
- To release TND/RND Link Engineering for new sites with the coordination of RF & project team.
- Provide 1+1 equipment protection to linear links.
- Coordinating with other departments & vendors for core and backbone designing/upgrading.
- Coordinating for NEC NMS visibility by making the NCT files.

- Checking for obstacle details that may obstruct the transmission path of MW link as planned.
