ERNET India, an autonomous scientific society under Department of Information Technology, M/o Communications & Information Technology, has been set up with the main objectives of developing, setting up and operating a nationwide state-of-art Computer Communication infrastructure, to undertake and promote education, research & development, training and standardization in the area of computer networking and information technology and to develop options for consideration of the Government for development of information infrastructure and computer networking in the country.

ERNET India is looking for suitable personnel for the following Technical and Non-technical contractual manpower under sponsored projects. The number of posts to be filled up, eligibility criteria, place of posting and consolidated remuneration to be paid are as under:-

(A) Technical Posts :
(i) Sr. Project Engineer
(a) No. of post - 03 (Un-reserved)
(b) Place of Posting - 02 – New Delhi 01 – Bangalore
(c) Age - 35 years (Relaxation as per GoI Rules)
(d) Consolidated Monthly Remuneration - Rs. 32,000/-
(e) Eligibility Criteria -
Educational Qualifications & Experience : -
B.E./B.Tech /M.Sc. or equivalent in the field of Electronics/Electrical/ Electronics and Communication/ Telecommunication/ Computer Science with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
Experience - 7 years in the relevant field(*).
Or
M.E./M. Tech. in the field of Electronics/Electrical/ Electronics and Communication/ Telecommunication/ Computer Science with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

Experience - 5 years in the relevant field (*).
Or
Ph.D. in the field of Electronics/Electrical/ Electronics and Communication/ Telecommunication/ Computer Science

(*) Computer Programming / Computer Networking/ Satellite Communication/ Internet & Web Technology


(ii) Project Engineer :

Educational Qualifications & Experience : -
Essential : Degree in Technology or Engineering or equivalent with 60% marks in aggregate in the field of Electronics/Electrical/ Electronics and Communication/ Telecommunication/Computer Science/Master Degree in Physics with specialization in Electronics/MCA with B.Sc.
Desirable : Exposure in the area of Computer Communication

(iii) Junior Project Engineer :
(a) No. of post - 01 (Un-reserved)

(c) Age - 30 years (Relaxation as per GoI Rules)
(d) Consolidated Monthly Remuneration - Rs. 17,000/-
(e) Eligibility Criteria -

Educational Qualifications & Experience : -
Essential : Should possess Diploma in Engineering/Computer Engineering/ Electronics/B.Sc. or BIT (with Science Background)
Desirable : Exposure in the area of Computer Communication

(B) Non-Technical Posts :

Essential : Graduate in any discipline from recognized university with 5 years of experience.
Job Profile : To look after all administrative matters of the centres i.e. arrangement for various meeting, booking of travel/accommodation, co-ordination with technical wing for floating tenders through open/limited enquiry, coordinating opening/techno-commercial meetings, issue of purchase orders, arranging payment, etc.

(iii) Marketing Manager :
(a) No. of post - 02 (Un-reserved)
(b) Place of Posting - 01 - New Delhi

(c) Age - 35 years (Relaxation as per GoI Rules)
(d) Consolidated Monthly Remuneration - Rs. 27,000/-
(e) Eligibility Criteria-

Educational Qualifications & Experience : -
Essential : Two years full time MBA in Marketing Management with 2 years relevant experience.
Or
Graduate in any discipline from recognized university with 5 years of experience.
Desirable : Should have good communication and presentation skill and excellent convincing capability.
Job Profile : Ability to market various connectivity options offered by the Society to the prospective customers, sending proposals to new and existing customers for change of Plan, interfacing with clients for business promotion and publicity activities.

4. Number of vacancies indicated is provisional and may vary at the time of actual filling up of posts. ERNET India reserve the right not to fill up all the posts, if it so desires.

5. Selection : -
Initial screening will be based on academic record and experience requirement wherever specified. Only short listed candidates shall be called for test and interview. No interim correspondence will be entertained.

6. The person selected will be eligible for medical facilities, lunch coupons, PF etc. as per the Bye-Laws of ERNET India.

7. Interested candidates possessing the above qualifications and experience may apply in the prescribed format (Annexure-I). The applications must be supported by attested copies of certificates relating to educational and technical qualifications, date of birth, experience, category (SC/ST/OBC) & one recent passport size photograph, indicating the name of the post applied for on the envelope. Applications alongwith copies of required documents must reach to the Registrar & CPO, ERNET India, Electronics Niketan, 6, CGO Complex, New Delhi – 110 003 within 30 days of publication of advertisement. Incomplete applications will be rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be made.

8. Candidates applying for the post must enclose Pay Order/Demand Draft of Rs.500/- in favour of ERNET India, New Delhi alongwith the application. However, SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee.

9. The candidates who are already working in Central Govt. /State Govt/PSU/Autonomous Bodies must submit their application through proper channel.

10. The candidate must ensure that he/she fulfils the educational qualification, experience criteria and age as on the date of publication of the advertisement.
