Next Gen Sequencing (NGS) Bioinformatics Consultant.
(For Short Term Project in India.)

Location : Kerala, INDIA

A Genomics R&D Organization with offices in U.S and India is seeking a Bioinformatics consultant with expertise in next generation sequencing data analysis. The ideal person will have experience with 454, Illumina and SOLiD data. Experience with whole genome analysis, variant calling (SNPs, idels), RNA-Seq, Chip-seq and methyl-seq would be critical. Also, the candidate must be knowledgeable with the computational and software infrastructure needed for next gen data analysis. The consultant should be a good communicator and be able to train bioinformaticians and biologists on next gen data analysis. The consulting assignment is in India and can be from 30 to 90 days.

Bioinformatics Scientist.
Location : Kerala, INDIA

The successful candidate will responsible for analysis of Sanger and next generation Sequence data. Working closely with wet lab Scientist the candidate will be responsible primer generation and automation of sequence data analysis. This may include writing scripts automation and analysis. Additionally, the candidate will help with bioinformatics projects that involve development of scientific database content as needed. You will have an opportunity to collaborate with wet lab scientists, analyze nextgeneration sequencing data and be able to publish. The person in this position should have good relation data base skills (RDBMS and SQL), and strong scripting skills (Perl). Strong understanding of biology and statistics (ability to use R or S) would be ideal. In addition, experience with various bioinformatics databases and tools like BLAST, sequence alignment and sequence analysis software is expected. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to perform cutting work in a fast-paced emerging area in a high-energy environment. Experience with expression data analysis will be a plus.

Qualifications :
A PhD in bionformatics/molecular biology with postdoctoral training or equivalent with a strong publication record is expected.
