We have need for Staff Software Engineer (Mobile application development) – Bangalore India.

Core Responsibilities :
Applies full understanding of the software engineering discipline (you’re a master of your discipline) and industry best practices plus creativity to effectively design, implement, and support SW products and services.
Works on significant assignments that are broad in scope and complexity and, cover a wide range of issues.
Discovers and evaluates the most relevant factors to be considered in the creation, design, implementation or modification of software and services.
Exercises independent judgment in the selection of methods and techniques used to deliver software and services. Considers build, buy and partnering alternatives in the selection process.
Creates formal internal and external networks outside of your own area of expertise to leverage things such as best practices and technologies.
Coaches and mentors other engineers on methods and techniques.
Coordinates technical dependencies with other teams.

Qualifications :
BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
10+ years of commercial software development experience
A minimum of 7+ years of development experience in C++ and Java based applications
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in development of commercial mobile applications on at least 2 or more mobile platforms (Java ME, Symbian, Windows Mobile, BREW, Palm OS, CoCoTouch (iPhone), Android, Mobile Linux etc.)
Demonstrated experience with developing on-device applications that leverage network/web services

Experience with two or more of the following is required :
o Eclipse, Netbeans
o Make, Ant
o Bluetooth, Location/GPS, Messaging, Persistence, Crypto APIs across multiple platforms
o Graphics APIs
o Remote Testing Tools (e.g. Device Anywhere)
o Widget toolkits (XML, Javascript)
Solid communication skills. Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical mobile issues to technical teams with little to no experience with mobile technologies
In depth knowledge of the Internet and mobile industries
Solid technical aptitude. Must be able to quickly establish credibility with technical community
