112th Technical Graduates Course (TGC) (January 2011)

The Indian Army is looking for a few good men.For the best and the brightest amongst you. For men with Intellect, idealism and courage.Men who can lead and inspire others.
Applications are invited from Engineering Graduate MALE Indian citizens including temporary Central/State Govt. servants, serving personnel of the regular Army and Territorial Army (including officers of Territorial Army )and serving personnel of Navy and Air Force for 112th Technical Graduates Course (commencing in Jan 2011) as per following details and instructions:
112th TGC : (a) Engineers : 57 posts
(b) AEC - Post Graduates - Economics/ Pol. Science/ Geography/ History/ Physics/ Mathematics - 2)
(C) Military Farms - 1
Qualification :
TGC : A degree in Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognised univsersity,
AEC MA/ M.Sc. degree from a recognised university in 1st or IInd division in the concerned subjects, Military Farms - Degree in Dairying or Degree in Agriculture
* Age : TGC : 20 to 27 years. Born between 02 January 1984 and and 01 January 1991,
AEC - 23-27 years born between 02 January 1984 and not later than 01 Jan 1988.
* Physical Standard : min. height 157.5 cm , better eye 6/6 and worst eye 6/18
* Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.54oo plus Military Service Pay and other allowances (During the training, the candidates will get Rs.21000/- as Stipend

Method of Selection :
The Selection process to be followed is indicated below :
(a) Initial Screening and short listing of applicants will be done at Recruiting Directorate Army Headquarters and the decision of ADG Recruiting will be final. In this regard no representation will be entertained.

(b) Candidates whose applications are found in order shall be detailed to appear at the Service Selection Board on a specified date. List of such candidates alongwith nominated Selection Centres for SSB will be displayed on website http://indianarmy.nic.in.

(c) The candidates who qualify at the Service selection Board and are found medically fit by a Medical Board will be placed in order of merit. The final selection will be made in that order upto the number of vacancies available at the time.

(d) Two Stage Selection Procedure : Two stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test has been introduced at selection centres. All the candidates will face stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres. The candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/ remaining test and all those who fail to pass stage one, will be returned.

(e) Those candidates who qualify stage II will submit the original certificate along with one photocopy each of (i) Matriculation Cert. showing date of birth (ii) Original Degree or Prov degree with all years/parts/semesters marksheets at Selection Centre.

Training and prospects :
(a) Selected candidates for Technical Graduates Course will be detailed for training at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun according to their position in the final order of merit, discipline wise upto the number of vacancies available at the time.
(b) Duration of training : One year
(c) Training at IMA is at Govt. expense.
(i) Engineering Graduates will be granted permanent commission in the rank of Lt with One year antedate seniority from the date of granting commission.
(ii) Non-engineering Post Graduates applying for AEC will be Granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lt. However they are not entitled to any ante date seniority.

HOW TO APPLY :
(a) Apply on fulscape paper (typed) as per format given in the advertisement only. Applications can also use the Common Application Form down loaded from Indian Army website http://www.indianarmy.nic.in.

(b) Only attach photocopies of the following documents or certificates along with the application which should be properly tagged and duly attested by Government Gazetted Officer
(i) Matriculation Certificate issued by Board of Secondary Education or Central Board of Secondary Education as proof of date of birth (transfer certificate, affidavit etc. are not acceptable)
(ii) Degree/ provisional certificate alongwith Marksheets of all the years/parts/semesters as proof of educational qualification. (Final year appearing candidates should submit attested copies of 1st to 6th semester marksheets along with application).
(iii) Affix your photograph in the space provided in the application form self attested.
(iv) NCC ‘C’ Certificate Or National Certificate of Bravery/Gallantry Award Or Certificate showing representing of the State in National Sports competition may also be attached, if any, held.

(c) Application incomplete in any respect and/or without any of the above mentioned documents {as indicated at Paras 9(a), 9(b)(i), 9(b)(ii), and 9(b)(iii)} and/or not duly attested by a Govt Gazetted officer will be rejected summarily.
(d) The provisional degree certificate in support of education qualification should clearly state that the student has passed the specified degree examination and is eligiblie for award of Degree.
(e) No original certificates will be enclosed with the application.
(f) Theapplication should be sent in a white envelope SUPERSCRIBED IN RED INK on the top left corner indicating the entry and also the subject/discipline. For Example ‘‘112th TGC : MECHANICAL ENGINEERING’’ OR ‘‘ 112th TGC : AEC English.
(g) Post your application by Registered/Speed Post to reach at the following address on or before 21 June. 2010:-
