Synopsis :
RSBY has been launched by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India to provide health insurance coverage for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. The objective of RSBY is to provide protection to BPL households from financial liabilities arising out of health shocks that involve hospitalization. Beneficiaries under RSBY are entitled to hospitalization coverage up to Rs. 30,000/- for most of the diseases that require hospitalization
With a view to providing health insurance cover to Below Poverty Line (BPL) workers in the unorganised sector and their families, the Central Government has announced the “Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana”. Government provides data and software for enrollment and card distribution of the beneficiaries. Our teams step into the allotted districts, conduct enrollment camps as per a road plan, collect data, personalize and issue cards to the designated beneficiaries of the BPL families. A fees of
Rs.30/-is collected from beneficiary and kept by vendor.
Upon distribution of the cards, we have to supply the database, certification of distribution to the TPA. We are expected to setup a district kiosk, hospital transaction system and maintain it for one year after completion of the card distribution. The cards used were 32K SCOSTA cards and the field equipment included laptops, biometric scanners, card readers, web cameras and smart card printers.
I have handled in parallel 7 districts across 3 states for implementation of the RSBY project. My responsibilities included monitoring and organizing district kick off meets, camp planning, data validation and cleanup, camp operations, enrollment enhancement planning, liaison with TPA company and field managers, receipt and compilation of enrollment data, setting up of kiosk and valid database, daily status reports, trouble-shooting of rejected cards, invoicing and recoveries.

Common Service Center (CSC) : Part of National e-Governance Plan, Government of India. Project is for making available various government and private services to rural citizens’ of India.
Synopsis :
The Government of India has approved a Common Services Centres (CSCs) Scheme for providing support for establishing 100,000 Common Services Centers in 600,000 villages of India. The Scheme, as approved by the Government of India, envisions CSCs as the front-end delivery points for Government, private and social sector services to rural citizens of India, in an integrated manner. The objective is to develop a platform that can enable Government, private and social sector organizations to align their social and commercial goals for the benefit of the rural population in the remotest corners of the country through a combination of IT-based as well as non-IT-based services.
The CSCs would provide high quality and cost-effective voice and data content and services, in the areas of e-governance, education, health, telemedicine, entertainment as well as other private services. A strong point of the CSCs is that it will offer web-enabled e-governance services in rural areas, including various application forms, certificates, and utility payments such as electricity, telephone and water bills.
There is bouquet of citizen centric services being offered to citizens, divided into G2C (government to citizen) and B2C (business to citizen) services. The services includes various financial Inclusion programmes, Livelihood generation, selling of micro insurance, capacity building, providing basic to IT education to masses, and it is also helping in bridging the digital divide.
