Job Description :

Job Summary :
Responsible to perform pharmacokinetic and statistical analysis of concentration-

time data by using pharmacokinetic (EP/Kinetica) and statistical (SAS) software.

Also generate the randomization sequence as when required.

Job Accountabilities :
• Conduct pharmacokinetic and statistical analysis of concentration-time data in bioequivalence studies
• Perform work in compliance with regulatory guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Use pharmacokinetic (EP/Kinetica) and statistical (SAS) software
• Write pharmacokinetic / statistical reports
• Assist with developing and reviewing study protocols
• Assist with development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures
• Prepare comprehensive summaries of pharmacological and toxicological information and other documents required for regulatory submission
• Generate randomization scheme and enter randomization scheme into clinical studies database.
• Utilize knowledge and understanding of pharmacokinetics, pharmacology and statistics to provide scientific advise and support to other departments.
• Maintain and update project related files and documentation.
• Execute other duties as assigned by Management and as training and experience

Academic Project :
Title : Therapeutic efficacy of Piperine in high fat diet induced adiposity and adiposopathy in rats.
Project Brief :
Adiposity is simply increase in fat mass while Adiposopathy is sick fat that causes dysfunction of fat cells. Adiposopathy is the one of main cause for excessive fat related metabolic diseases (EFRMD) like dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, type-II diabetes mellitus, fatty liver etc. Male Sprague dawley rats were given High Fat diet (HFD) for eleven weeks. At the end of the eighth week, rats were treated with piperine as a test drug and sibutramine as a standard drug along with the HFD. To evaluate the effect of piperine, various parameters like body weight, food intake, lipid profile, glucose, alanine transaminase (ALT), fat mass and insulin tolerance test were carried out.
Results :
Piperine was effective in reducing the body weight, lipid profile, ALT, glucose level and fat mass without reducing the food intake. Moreover, piperine also increases the sensitivity of exogenous insulin.
Conclulsion :
Piperine shows its protective effect in fat related metabolic diseases like dyslipidemia, diabetes, insulin resistance etc. Thus piperine can be a future drug to treat adiposity and adiposopathy.
