IN ORDNANCE & ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT FACTORIES FOR THE YEAR 2010-11

Recruitment of Trade Apprentices in Ordnance Factory Board(OFBINDIA) April 2010

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from unmarried Indian Citizen for Trade Apprenticeship training in Ordnance & Ordnance Equipment Factories for the year 2010-11. Particulars of training and recruitments are given below:

Trade Apprenticeship(various Trades of various factories)

Age : Between 14 to 22 years as on 22.05.2010

Qualification :
For non-ITI applicants : Passed Madhyamik (Class – 10th Standard) or Equivalent Examination with 40% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in each of Mathematics & Science (Physics and Chemistry), or otherwise as indicated against the specific Trade: (‘Data Preparation & Computer Software’), as per Apprentice Act’1961
For ITI applicants : Ex-ITI candidates should be passed out from the Institute duly recognized by NCVT or SCVT, duly covered through Gazette Notification of Ministry of Labour & Employment, with minimum two years duration.

SELECTION OF CANDIDATES :
Selection will be made on the basis of the following -
• For non-ITI Candidates : Written Test (One paper for 3 hours) consisting of - English, General Knowledge, Mathematics and Aptitude/ Reasoning.
• FOR ITI CANDIDATE : Written Test (One paper for 3 hours) consisting of –
Part (A) : English, General Knowledge, Mathematics and Aptitude / Reasoning - approx. 40% out of total no. of questions
Part (B) : on the group of subject Trades - approx. 60% out of total no. of questions.

MODE OF EXAMINATION : Examination will be conducted on ‘Multiple choice Objective Type Test’ on OMR sheet .

MEDICAL EXAMINATION : Will be conducted by respective Factories (for all selected candidates).

DATE OF EXAMINATION :
04.07.2010 ( FOURTH JULY TWO THOUSAND TEN ) From 10-00 a m to 1-00 p m or as mentioned in ‘Admit Card’ issued by respective Factory authority, along with name of Examination Centre.

T E R M S :
The selected candidates will have to execute a CONTRACT (if minor, by his guardian). The Apprentices will not be provided with any quarters/hostel accommodation by the factories. During the training, the Apprentices are entitled for FREE MEDICAL treatment from respective Factory Hospital only.

How to apply :
i). Completely filled Application Form and Admit Card ,as per the given Format (Annex.A & B) as shown in the Advertisement, along with postal order (if applicable) should be sent directly to the SENIOR GENERAL MANAGER / GENERAL MANAGER of any of the Factory as per advertisement, where the candidate intends to appear for the examination. One candidate is eligible to apply at one Factory only.
ii). Two recent passport size photographs should be pasted firmly on Application form & Admit Card in proper place, and Crossed Postal Order Rs.5/- (Rupees Five) only in favour of the concerned Senior General Manager / General Manager of the factory, where the candidate desires to appear, should be submitted along with the Application Form duly filled in by Candidate.
iii) No Postal Order is required for SC/ST/OBC & Physically Handicapped (PH) / Physically Challenged (PC) candidates.
iv) Envelope containing the Application Form & Admit Card must be super scribed in block letter “TRADE APPRENTICE”.
v) Incomplete Application Form or Application Form received after 22-05-2010 will be rejected automatically and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained
